Ugento is a town and comune in Italy. It has a small harbour, and is situated in the province of Lecce, in Apulia, on the Gulf of Taranto of the Ionian Sea. It includes the frazioni of Gemini and Torre San Giovanni.

We've been there for dessert, the service was very nice. There was a cashier who saw that we didn't understand their system of putting orders very well so he patiently detailed all fillings for pasticciotti, packed our order and accompanied us to the pay desk. The pasticciotti were nice, tasty, not wow but ok. Worth a visit.

They are a lot of years that I spent my dinner there, and every year I notice improvement in everything. In food, in wine availability, in professionalism and kindness of staffing, in beauty of location. I’ll return every summer there and I’ll continue to suggest this place to all my friends.

If u r looking for a stylish resto go for it but be ready for bitter deception:
- To few waitresses to take care of all clients means that run among the table will not be enough
- what for the palm pc of waitresses if all orders are processed wrongly in the kitchen and you get 1 pizza instead of four?
- why do mot bring all drinks at ones? Be careful: if you try the chance to order sodas instead of water be ready for 40 mins wait in spite of your double reminding to waitresses
- just average quality food and it is pity cause the menu it is very trendy
- expensive!
Put all cons together and just do the right thing: turn the corner and get a very good pasta or pizza in a less stylish and trendy resto!

The restaurant is housed in an old oven in the late 1500s for the country of Felline and Alliste.Where burning embers has now been converted into a small room with two tables only. In the summer, a beautiful gazebo in the square in front of the baronial castle, home to the tables for guests in an historical atmosphere.La cuisine of Chef Viva Fabiano plays with taste and a touch of modernity, the traditional cuisine using only tipical food. Fresh fish every day, but also fine cuisine of the earth.
For our second visit to Felline we discovered another little gem across from the castle.
This restaurant has numerous little rooms and reninds us of being in a trulli in the itri valley
We had pasta and pizza over two nights. Fabiano the owner spent time talking to us
With water, wine, pizza and pasta, it set us back 21 euros. An excellent deal.

Since it's the best restaurant of the city, we expected much more than we received. The order was some mixed some forgotten, the bill was overcharged with more than one item, the waiters were not paying attention to tables and answering very slowly to questions (more than 10 minutes), the total was twice than we payed in all evenings in Puglia.

A little more than 15/20 minutes drive from the coast, you can find this typical local food restaurant.
It is directly on the village main square.
Prices are convenient, not cheap. 8€ for the main pasta, 10 for main meat.Starters is good and has several small appetizers to choose from.
However both the quality and the quantity of the food is excellent.
The main dish with pasta "Orecchiette with onion and wine" is great.
Nice external area where you can dine, as well a nice and typical cellar like look in the internal area of the restaurant
Worth driving there.

Il locale e una struttura del 1700 suddivisa in due piani, piano terra sono delle volte a stella, di cui una raffigura la stella dei Cavalieri di Malta, dove si eserce il commercio di enoteca invece nella cantina con volte a botte ci sono le sale di ristorazione. Il locale storicamente, dal '52, era una delle vecchie e denominate "puteche de vino" gestito dal nonno dell'Oste. La cucina e gestita dalla mamma dell'oste, quindi tipica salentina dove uniamo i piatti tradizionali con piatti rivisitati ed unici. Il vino somministrato e tutto selezionato, garantito dall'Oste con un eccellente qualita/prezzo.
Although Italian, I write in English in behalf of not-Italian readers. This place is worthy: excellent meat, local handmade pasta (everything made by the mother of Nicola, the owner) and the wine is fantastic! What me and my wife had appreciated the most was Nicola's manners and kindness.
We were just a little disappointed because there was no fish in the menu list, but, you have so many things to choose that it really doesn't matter. A complete dinner just 43 €, not bad, is it?

Staff is very nice. Food is very good. Come early because they are out of desserts very quickly ! Antipasti della casa are a must. Pasta are also excellent.

We met some friends in this village not far from Gallipoli: what a fantastic place! We had dinner in the garden and the service was fast and very efficient . Something to say about all restaurants in Puglia... they are a bit slow on the service so you have to resign to wait a bit to eat... that sayd, this restaurant was really good and proposes a fixed menu for two at 39 euros that offers several regioanl entrè, first and second dishes. also the dessert was really good. If you are nearby it is definetly a place to try.
