the steak was just wonderful, not inexpensive though. The Rib Co. is small, we went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. So I would recommend going early. The Atmosphere is not great but it doesn't matter with the great food.

I had little expectation going in this place, but was pleasantly surprised by the food. The set up is more like the Chinese food at a mall food court, but you can also order Thai and Vietnamese food from the menu. Everything we ordered was tasty and I know they were freshly made because we actually had to wait for them. There are tables for eating in.

Join us in our relaxed, art-filled restaurant for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Our menus feature fresh seafood, steaks and prime rib, pastas, salads and delicious vegetarian dishes. We take pride in baking our own sourdough bread daily, and making all of our own soups, dressings and desserts. When available, we incorporate fresh & organic fruits and vegetables from our own Faultline Farm. Dine poolside, or indoors, and enjoy live acoustic music seven nights a week. Visit our blog to see our monthly music schedules. Our restaurant seats on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend calling ahead 30-40 minutes before you plan on arriving to speak with our host. We will be happy to give you an update on how busy we are, and if there is a wait list, put your name it. To keep things flowing in our small dining room, we will direct large parties of 10 or more to make arrangements with our Restaurant Manager.
After a day of travel to get to the area, and some hiking in Joshua Tree NP, we enjoyed a nice dinner at 29 Palms Inn. The food was excellent, the service attentive, and it also had a nice bar area along with some real nice live music. Highly recommend.

An unexpected find in an out-of-the-way place. The entry point for Joshua Tree National Park, 29 Palms is also known for its Marine base. For some reason, Middle-Eastern folks who really know how to cook have landed there. They serve plenty of kabobs, kafta & shawarma; we stuck with the vegetarian food: lemon lentil soup, roasted cauliflower salad, and the absolutely best stuffed grape leaves I've ever eaten. Easy to say, I know, but seriously, these people understand how to spice food in a way that's both subtle and complex. A very satisfying meal.
We were staying in the area for five nights and mainly spending time in Joshua Tree National Park. We learned about the Palm Kabob place on line and stopped for lunch our first day. Usually we don't return to a place while on vacation so that we can check out different places but we did return here a couple days later for supper.
We really liked the food and between the three of us we wound up ordering five different meals fro the menu. All of it was good and nice presented. Unless you already know that you do not like middle east cuisine or Mediterranean food do stop here and enjoy! I believe the cook or the owner (maybe one in the same) is from Syria.

We were happy to find Thai food but there were some weird twists with each dish- noodles and rice. It is a very plain, simple place and the food seems to go along with that. All food ok, but nothing outstanding.

We rolled into Twentynine Palms around lunchtime in preparation for a visit to Joshua Tree National Park. The hotel manager recommended John's Place as having the best lunch specials in town. Well, there did not appear to be any lunch specials but the food was pretty special. I had a taco salad with beef and salsa, easily the most unique and tasty taco salad I've had. The meat was shaved steak, not ground beef. It was excellent. My wife had the avocado burger, which she enjoyed, but her fried zucchini strips were a real hit. A thick coating of batter surrounded sweet, sweet zucchini. Really unusual and very, very tasty. Our traveling companions had a chicken burrito and a regular hamburger. The chicken in the burrito was reported as slightly gristly but I noticed that the entire burrito disappeared. The hamburger was reported as "dry," but that was to the taste of the eater. A root beer float and a vanilla shake were also consumed quickly and happily. The price was reasonable. In all, this is a good place to stop for lunch in the small town of Twentynine Palms.

They remodeled the restaurant to the better. The service was outstanding. I had the largest Quesedea (sp) I ever had. It was delicious. My husband had the Bean Tosdada which was also great. Took home both of the dishes and had two more meals from them. The prices were reasonable. We'll be back for sure.

Andrea’s in 29 has a location in Yucca Valley now where Papa’s Smokehouse used to be. This restaurant is not terribly unique for the Yucca Valley area, but it DOES have some good stuff going: excellent service, fantastic burgers, onion rings, and a ranch dressing that ROCK! My spouse and I were there on a Sunday. I had the Greek Burger, spouse had scrambled eggs with hash browns. Seriously delicious food. The onion rings are house made and come with a delicious house-made ranch. Get these. They are a standout. The ice tea is really good too. A nice clean environment, and tasty, tasty offerings, just a nice change for our area and prices are reasonable too. My burger was perfectly cooked and had lots of flavors. Spouse’s eggs were on the verge of being a little under, but they were fine. Definitely will be back.

A Casual Southern Bistro offering a diverse menu with an emphasis on "Southern" Located in Downtown Twentynine Palms Califonia Great Food! Great Service! Great Place!
One of the few places in Twenty Nine Palms where you can find a great meal. A bit more expensive than some of the other options in town but definitely worth it.

Modern Caribbean Fusion/ Espresso bar
A few friends had found this place and raved about it. I had the Signature burger and it was delicious. The service was great and a interesting little spot.
