Our group of 10 (cycling group) enjoyed dinner in this little restaurant one night, with a large outside table, which we reserved in advance. The food was delicious, with some unique dishes (e.g. the "brick" puff pastry with seafood and cream sauce - yum), the service was very good (although I think our waitress was sometimes bemused by us), and we all had a great evening in this lovely spot.

Said to be No.1 in Trujillo. Limited outdoor Seating (only 8 tables) in a cobbled, draughty alley. Well lit but cold. Staff could hardly cope with all tables filled simultaneously. Slow service, but efficient. We started with 4 croquetas, said to be Partridge & setas! Couldn't taste either of them. We risked a Chateaubriand cooked rare at 48 €. It was excellent, but the accompaniment was skimpy: a single baked tomato, 2 mushrooms & a slice of steamed potato - for 2 people! A Ribera del Duero 2013 Arzuaga Crianza, at 32 € was a rip-off. Will not eat there again, but choice in Trujillo is limited..

This was the worst place that we've eaten at in a very long time. Overtones of the lamentable British motorway service station cafe.
Surly, unhelpful staff with serious attitude problems. The large menu had a number of items not available, including fruit at the height of the local season. No non-smoking area.
Prime site signposted from the motorway, consequently higher prices than other restaurants closer to town

The dining room was very well appointed for fine dining. But: only two staff worked off their feet: dishes between starters and mains mixed up: food arrived cold and was sent back. Not N experience we wish to repeat - and not cheap!

We went here for lunch and despite the fact that it was busy, service was quick. We had a nice coffee and shared a torta del casar. Very nice melted cheese served with toasted bread. Staff was friendly and attentive and the prices were reasonable.

This was our back-up choice, but it turned out to be a great place for a Monday lunch. We enjoyed everything about this restaurant. A traditional, stone and brick wall interior welcomes you as soon as you step inside. Our server was super-friendly. Despite speaking limited English, he went out of his way to meet our vegetarian needs and to make sure we enjoyed our lunch here. We ordered gazpacho and grilled vegetables. Both were very tasty. The bread and olive oil was also excellent. This is a very nice place for lunch located just off Plaza Mayor. We highly recommend it in this tourist-oriented town.

Book ahead to eat on the beautiful Terrace. Excellent food- I ordered the iberico pork steak which was perfectly cooked. Lovely Waitstaff although I couldn't speak any Spanish they couldn't speak much English we still managed to communicate very well! The wine was also very affordable and good

7 Sillerias Restaurant. Restaurant located in Trujillo, a few meters from the Plaza de Trujillo. We are specialized in the Extremadura restaurant food, all kinds of local meats and cold cuts and fruits in the area.
Given that we were going to spend only one evening in Trujillo, we really wanted to try this restaurant. We got there shortly after 9 pm and were given the choice to take one of the tables on the Terrace, however it was unusually hot...MoreHello bxleu. We are happy to read such good words about our restaurant. Thanks for your comments, we hope to see you again.

Ideal restaurant for breakfast, brunch, snacks or to eat. We have a daily menu and a la carte menu. Spanish cuisine, we have an oven and grill on the grill. Great variety of wines. Excellent steaks and lamb roasts made with oak charcoal. Homemade desserts. Shop with products from the region.
Dined here twice whilst visiting Extremadura. A very good food selection and to say this is on the motorway it was more like a good quality restaurant. The prices were very reasonable too. We in England would find it very hard, if at all to find an eatery so good on a motorway. A special thanks to Isis and Christian for their very good service.

So this could change but we are now two weeks into our 6 week trip and it's winning hands down! We had the menu de dia at I think 9 euro each. They were all excellent, except maybe my cherries as a dessert as they were a bit past it however by that stage I hardly cared as everything else had been great. Very simple food but with great flavour and as I've said the best mixed salad (the dressing was wonderful) I've had so far!
