Stopped in on a Friday night while driving through town. Enter through the restaurant side and you'll  find a  brightly lit eatery with about 20 tables. Walk  through the closed door near the front and you'll enter the more expansive bar with high top tables, severely pool tables, lots of TV screens with sports, and taxidermy. Besides the $1.50 beers (Bud & Coors) the expanded bar menu includes more burger options than most bars, a variety of sandwiches and wraps, and a few plated dinners.

WE got a loaf of Russian Black bread, a chocolate croissant, a ham croissant and a plan croissant. All were perfectly done - flaky, buttery and generous. I had seen this European bakery on TripAdvisor and I am so glad we found it .

Best omelettes we have had in months. So many spots serve "omelettes" that are really frittatas but Deacons had the real deal. Pancakes were good; coffee was good and all were very reasonably priced.

We just returned from an awesome family vacation in and around Wyoming.

As we drove from Cheyenne to Devil's Tower, we routed through Torrington and made a pit stop.

We then saw Lou's Bakery and stopped in for a tasty pastry.... lemon blueberry.

And then we were back on the road, northbound, with a full belly.

Thanks, Lou's!

Visited during lunch time. Busy but staff friendly and helpful. Ordered the taco salad. Not bad. More than enough and flavorful. The coffee was very good, not too thin, not too strong. Plenty of seating. Located near an antique shop and visitor center.

One mile south of Torrington, Wy on Highway 85 up a bluff with a sign pointing the way.

Great meal of steak or fish. Views are fantastic. Staff really hustle to feed an army of people who descended on the. Think they finally had to cry uncle later in the evening but it wasn't for lack of effort. I bet on a more normal evening this would be a great laid back place to watch the sun set. I'd return.

Had dinner here for the first time during a recent stay. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga dinner. The chicken was basically bland and unimpressive. There was a decent amout of food, but it wasn't all that great. The chips and salsa are more like salsa and deep fried tortilla slices. Overall, if you've had much a chance to sample good Mexican fare at other places, this probably won't be your favorite stop. That said, Torrington is a small town with very limited dining options, so perhaps I shouldn't have expected too much.

I'm a former local (& family still lives around here), so I know this place has opened/closed for years. Sure hope it makes a real go of it this time, Lovely location on a small lake, about a mile south off Hwy. 26, right on Neb./Wyo. state line (road between Torrington, WY,and Scottsbluff, NE) Go here for grilled meat -- specifically, steaks!!! The seafood is very good as well; it's not "coastal", but excellent for being landlocked. Also has kids menu, and less $$ things if you wanna eat well but not break the bank. In short, just for a Fri. night dinner out AND special occasions. All dinners start with old-fashioned relish tray (crisp and delish) followed by homemade dinner rolls. Whatever you have, you'll leave stuffed 'cause you couldn't quit eating, it's that good. DO try the mashed potatoes (an included side to dinner) with cream gravy. It's addictive! Nice, unpretentious wine list. Let your food digest afterwards, and hang around on the dock that forms the south side of the restaurant. Turtles, ducks, geese, fish will come swimming toward you asap (you can tell they've been hand feed more than a bit ;)

This is a drive-through only establishment, but well-worth visiting! I’ve only had their ribs (so far), but they are excellent. A tip: the ribs are cooked competition-style, that is they have a firm “bite.”I like to take them home and roast them for a while (wrapped in foil) at a low temperature (200-225), as I like my rib meat to be falling off the bone.
Sides potato salad, fruit salad, and German chocolate cake were excellent.
