We had just arrived in San Juan late evening so first thing to do in am was find coffee of course. So wandering around town stopped at several places to try and buy a cup of joe to go to no avail. Then stumbled on the barrio which if Im correct means neighborhood? Went inside and got 2 cups to go and breakfast to go AWESOME.So next time in town get the coffee you wont be disappointed.

Located on the shore of the Great Lake Nicaragua a few meters from the entrance of the harbour to Ometepe Island. From the tables on the Terrace, you can taste our specialities in SALMON and other local seafood and lakefood enjoying the breeze of the lake and the wonderful view of Ometepe Island and its two volcanoes. Ideal for families and groups.
We popped in here before grabbing the ferry to Ometepe. After looking around to find a server, we finally got someone's attention. We grabbed drinks, and tostones (which were decent, but of course come at a tourist price) and the had to find someone again to get our bill. It's convenient to kill hour, but don't expect much.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a recommendation by house mates. I was so surprised once I walked into the door to head toward the back garden area. Super fun, inviting and great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying their delicious smoothies and healthy bites! Definitely will be back to just enjoy the garden and refreshing atmosphere. Fair priced for such fresh ingredients and quantity ! A must stop!

Cooking with love right at the beach!
Lovely spot on the beach (once you negotiate getting in to the Iguana complex) Nice menu, very well presented food on the plate and tasty with it. A couple of very reasonable wines available as well. Excellent service with Pili the perfect host. We loved it and will return!

Da surf spot is a cute little outdoor eating taco stand right on Santana beach within spitting distance from the Rancho Santana clubhouse. Simple tacos, smoothies, chips. Cheap breakfasts and a fun owner who aims to please. A great place to have a cold one after Surfing or an Alt lunch or breakfast stop

Translated, our name is The Farm and the Sea. We showcase a locally sourced menu. Relax and soak in the ambiance of the archi-tec-ture of La Finca y el Mar which was inspired, in part, by sea-side farm-houses in Andalucía, Spain. Open-air ter-races frame stun-ning views of the Pacific as well as rolling hills, flow-ers and rock formations. Buen Provecho!
All meals are an experience here. Breakfast is excellent as is lunch but dinner is superb. Great menu, well presented and delicious food. I particularly recommend the pork belly to begin and then believe it or not the pork chop, wonderful flavours. Reasonable wines. Great service and great views from the Terrace.

Located at Soma Surf Resort. Although Soma is in a rural and somewhat isolated setting, we think you will be pleasantly surprised by the variety and flavor of the food served. We concentrate on local foods, including fruits, vegetables, fish, beef, pork and chicken, with an emphasis on pairing great tastes with tantalizing recipes for nourishing and satisfying meals. Soma is a casual open air restaurant serving fresh fare with a distinct flavor using natural ingredients where you will truly savor the "farm to table" experience. We have a full service bar where you won't want to leave without trying one of our thirst quenching mojitos. Please call for Reservations to confirm availability.
From beginning to end this place is superb. The welcome, the hospitality and the ambiance are only exceeded by the food and service. Everything possible is made ther and the fish and meat dishes are outstanding. The homemade sauces and relishes, the Crestor fries and inventive desserts are just part of this unique experience!

Gourmet food in the tropics is not always easy to find. The menu is varied and inviting. There are two tasting menus. Although not every course on the menu I had was a home run, overall the quality, presentation, and service was outstanding. The meal isn't inexpensive, though. If you can afford it, highly recommended.
