Met up with friends! Staying Overnight! Long day of driving!places was super busy! Waited about 1 hour for a table! Had to stand with our drinks and kept getting asked to move around! Just took forever to get a table! Dinner was great!

This restaurant caters to truckers and to those folk who can't get enough of trucks. The decor is hugely truck-centric from the sign out front, to the counter-top built on a flatbed trailer.
Good solid comfort food served in generous portions will accommodate those with large appetites, and the decor and furnishings will give lots to talk about.
I'm a little less motivated by 18-wheelers so my main reason for visiting was a good meal.
My hot pork Sandwich was stuffed with succulent port,, and served with fresh local vegetables. It was painted with a light tasty gravy.
On the negative, the show string fries were over cooked and dry, and the service, while friendly and attentive, was not very prompt. However, it was a Friday night and it was crowded so that might not be a general condition.
All my family love it here so I expect I will be back.

I had Zante's spinach salad with steak for lunch and you absolutely have to try this salad! You will not regret.it. The service is great, people are friendly, and the people ensure you enjoy your meal. I have several allergies and they made sure that my meal was allergy free. The art is original and visually stimulating. Nice quiet restaurant. Thank you for making our meal enjoyable!

For a small town like New Liskeard I would rank this a 10. It's clean friendly the food is very very good. We come here if we want really good Asian food. It's not the usual Fried rice and Chicken ball banquet style restaurant. I had almost everything on the menu and I liked it. Never had an issue since it opened. A must go if your in Liskeard.

This home-spun restaurant is a great destination for locals and visitors alike. We arrived late by northern Ontario standards and while they were trying to close up but they never made us feel rushed nor were they pushing. Instead, we were welcomed and they managed our order for 4 with confidence. I didn't see there home-made chili and would have tried it if I had seen it before I ordered. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. My diabetic dad even snuck in an ice cream when they were essentially closed! How accommodating. The location is close to everything in downtown Haileybury. There is not a lot to choose from so you have a right to be skeptical but this would be an excellent choice.

Big Bites offers the best pizza in the Tri-towns! Just the right amount of sauce and gooey cheese... my favourite is the Canadian. They have extended their menu to offer burgers, fries, poutine, wings and frozen yogurt and soft ice cream. Good prices, friendly staff......MoreThank you :)

Traveling with a dog, this restaurant was across the street from our hotel and although very tired looking on the outside and the inside we needed Takeout service. The menu listed dinners for 1, 2 3 etc. and single dishes for 1 or 2. We ordered 2 egg rolls fried rice, sweet and sour pork and Cantonese chow mein in the (for two) size and the quantity was overwhelming and the quality at best average and the 25 minute wait time was closer to 40 minutes.
Cash Only!

I have visited this location on many occasions. From the beginning, I would call in my order, and they provided speedy service, always getting the order correct, and even remembering what I liked on my burrito.
The proprietors of the establishment really seem to enjoy the restaurant, which makes it so much better to visit. Their menu is easy to understand, and food is prepared quickly.
I could not recommend this place enough :) Thank you for opening in our area.

Leisurely meandering north on the former (long, long ago) Ontario Highway 11 route through Cobalt, Haileybury, etc. I stopped in at the only eatery in Cobalt. The street view gave an impression of a small hole-in-the wall, but the interior was capacious, comfortably Seating upwards of 40 customers at large tables with lots of room to spare. The ambiance was clean and attractively furnished, including a large well executed wall-mural of historical Cobalt.
The menu was VERY simple. Family fare breakfast dishes… eggs, omelettes, pancakes, French toast… and a variety of sandwiches. (Nothing fancy, e.g. no Eggs Benedict, etc.) Very reasonable, bargain prices. See posted menu photos for details.
I ordered the “Silver Cafe Omelette”… 3 eggs, onion, ham, green peppers, cheese & mushrooms: $10.50 including home fries and toast. Great home fries… prepared from scratch in the kitchen, including optional onion. Very good omelette. Family fare at its best.
Friendly attentive service. Good diner coffee.
All-in-all an enjoyable breakfast. Glad I stopped in.
Additional notes:
- Large clean washrooms
- Waitress told me that February – November the restaurant serves Pickerel Dinner on the first Friday of the month; 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm, $18.95 including soup, potato and coleslaw” “very lightly battered 8-10 oz pickerel filets”. Sounded very tempting.
- It’s a breakfast diner, so not LLBO licensed.
- For those that care… no WiFi
Bottom line… a good breakfast stop. Menu less than average, but all other aspects more than compensate. Stop in if in the neighborhood, but not worth a detour… unless possibly for one of the First Friday evening pickerel dinners. (Probably a good idea to call ahead to confirm that the pickerel dinner is actually scheduled.)
