One bite and you'll taste the love and dedication baked into every morsel.
A visit to Tellico Plains would not be complete without visit here. We had driven the Skyway and were ready for lunch. We stopped here thinking it was more of a coffee place, but when we stepped inside we realized it was something more. The menu is full of great sandwiches...some hot, some cold. We had one of each...the Italian and the crispa mista ham sandwich. Both were fantastic, and either would have been enough to share. We also bought some baked goods, which actually tasted as good as they looked. Best cherry cheese danish I have ever had! The decor is well done, clean, and welcoming. The staff is fantastic. Could not have had a better lunch! We also bought some bread and took it home for later...the house flatbread...and it was very good. This place has great quality food!!

The team here is awesome!! Great service ad great food! You can sit inside, outside on the deck or down by the river! It does get crowded and when crowed it can be a little slow, but then you are getting a handmade master piece...MoreThanks so much. Such a GREAT view & atmosphere for the wait. We do try not to have anyone wait too long. As ya all know those panini's do slow things up, but are worth the wait.

The food was amazing. It came out correct, piping hot and plentiful portions. I had the country fried steak, with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The steak and potatoes had white country gravy. This southern girl has eaten a lot of gravy from all over and I can say without hesitation that this one was the best EVER. It was not thick like paste and it had a wonderfully seasoned taste, just perfect. My friends both got Chicken and Dumplings and raved about their meal the entire time as well. The value for the food we received was very well. The staff was attentive and polite. No errors. The owner stopped by more than once to check on us. Well Done... This is how a restaurant should be .... stellar

Hard to believe that people flock here for the food. The ice cream looked good, but the hamburger and hot dogs were very low quality. I ordered the bigger hamburger and it was still the size of a McDonald's burger. The prices seem good until you see what you're getting and the fact that it's all a la carte. The foot long hot dog is a skinny little thing and definitely not all beef. Nice atmosphere since it's all outside by the river, but most of the tables need repairs. Seiously couldn't believe how many people lined up for the food. I'll go back for an ice cream, but I've had my first and last meal at The Beach. Average for this area.

Family owned and managed, offers excellent homemade pizza, other specialties including country meals with two vegetables, homemade bread including corn bread, salads, quiet off the main beat location, historical town square of Tellico Plains, interior decorated with items of the past, very nostalgic, good food, good prices.
We stopped here with some biker friends on Saturday, Sept. 17th and they were accommodating to our group. I suppose some might say the place oozes with small town charm but charm and torn up booth seats (all of them) shouldn't mean the same thing. I don't know, foam bubbling up out of the seats gives me a feeling of unclean. The restroom was ok, almost an afterthought.
I ordered a grilled chicken salad which was fresh (a little of the lettuce was a little rusty, a pet peeve) but the tomatoes were summer garden fresh and the grilled chicken was ok. Others ordered sandwiches and fried dinner plates and they all looked fine but no one in the group was saying, "We have to come back here tomorrow."
All in all, it was a big average, just a place to eat and not some destination restaurant.

We had a group lunch here in May for about 50 people. They had the great lunch out in no time! This is a great place to eat if you find yourself in this neck of the woods.

I was with a group staying at the Lodge at Tellico and we needed to have dinner brought to the Lodge so we could eat outdoors near the fire pit. Pizza was our choice. Worked with Tracie, who was great handling our order, happy to take care of us, and deliver the pizza to the Lodge. All went as planned, the food was great and our night around the fire at the Lodge was perfect! Thank you Tracie!

The people there are so friendly, and the food is awesome. It's prepared when you order it. We were there in May of this year. It's clean & very family friendly. When we were there, there were some kids there that kept looking around in the store. Their mom was doing a yard sale in the parking lot. The owner, I won't call any names knew the kids were hungry so she fixed each if them some breakfast, free of charge. That's just who she is, and what she does. May God continue to bless everyone @ Mount Vernon General Store.

This is a new restaurant and mountain hideaway with the cutest cabins and the best views of the mountains.
The food is worth the drive from anywhere - I had their fish sandwich tonight expecting to get a frozen square - no way - it was a filet - fried perfectly with home made French fries. It's a must if you are anywhere in Eastern TN -

We've eaten here twice and gotten. Take out. All experiences were good. Service was fine (it's just been open about a month so the servers are finding their stride with the job) not super fast but not slow. Salsa is very mild with a light touch of cilantro. The fajitas texana is my go to dish. The steak, chicken, and shrimp are excellent. Nice change of pace from the standard food here in Tellico.
