Tczew [tt͡ʂɛf] (Kashubian: Dërszewò; German: Dirschau (help·info)) is a town on the Vistula River in Eastern Pomerania, Kociewie, northern Poland with 60,279 inhabitants (June 2009). It is an important railway junction with a classification yard dating to the Prussian Eastern Railway (German: Preußische Ostbahn). The city is known for its attractive old town and the Vistula Bridge, or Bridge of Tczew, damaged during World War II.

The food is delicious, the service is poor - no frills. :P And a bit embarrassing when sitting at the table being the only couple in the whole restaurant while being watched by two waiters... The pub is nice, too noisy sometimes. The best thing about this place is probably the awesome view!

You would not expect such a good restaurant in a small town like Tczew, Poland ! The food is very good, with an original presentation, and the service is nothing short of fantastic. Prices are reasonable. If you happen to be in the surroundings, I advice you to go to Hot Paper.

What makes this place worth visiting is the food which is usually delicious. The service is average, but nice and kind. What I dislike is that sometimes, when there are larger groups sitting together at a number of tables celebrating an event, they behave extremely loudly with no reaction from the manager - in this case they should suggest another table, e.g. upstairs inside the private enclosure with no extra charge. And there might be a problem with parking space. Oh, and it closes soooo early!!! Generally - recommended. ;)

This is a place where you can have a delicious home-made lunch or dinner and it will make you feel like at your granny's - that's why I guess it's worth it. ;)

We were travelling by boat allong the Żuławska Loop. We moored for the night at the pier on the Vistula river right below the old town and walked looking for some place to eat. The polish term "bar mleczny" translates as milk-bar and is quite misleading, as in every such bar there is lots of all kind of food.
And now the best: prices. For 12 PLN (~3€) at the Bar Mleczny Kociewiak I had a full plate of pork chop + cooked/fried cabbage + special local noodles made of potatos. Just have a look at my picture of the dish and I am sure you will feel the urge to visit the place. It was fresh and tasty. It is a selfservice place, with really nice and smiling people ready to help. The place itself is clean, within easy reach by foot.
No need to add, that we returned to have breakfast there the next morning. and it was another really rewarding visit... Only this time I did not manage to have it all. Because the dishes looked so appetisingly, I ordered too much!

Fajne i wygodne kanapy. Bardzo dobra pizza na cienkim cieście. Na plus również pyszne sosy. Ceny raczej niskie.

I where here few times after work,
In this self service.
For me It's clean,
Every days is write different menu of the day,is also possible to order from the list.
Usually for:
1 drink,1 plate mix with 1 main course with potate or rice,
Plus salads is coast only about 12-14 pln (3-4€) I think is really cheap for this food!
Only they don't speak English so can be little hard to order but is not impossible
Finally I really recommend this place without big expectative!
