The staff,be either the restaurant, bar ,Djs, including Mr Jerome, the manager ,at big Willie's are very dedicated in delivering an excellent customer service.Suitable place for dinner with its exotic cuisine, nice atmosphere , a very secured and refined place to party. My opinion is Highly recommended for people going to holiday to Mauritius. Ideal place to be.

Had a nice meal tonight at Le Whatever.. The staff were very very courteous and the owner greeted us nicely upon entering. The food was all cooked to perfect and the desserts were fantastic. We felt this place offered fantastic value and was very friendly to kids as their is a playground literally right out front.
My only small criticism about the restaurant was the the beef we ordered in the angus and the entrecôte was very tough and chewy although cooked to perfection the meat was a little disappointing.
Appetizers were a 10
Desserts a 10
Fish a 10
Beef a 7

Highly recommended for couples, families and anything in between.

Joyful, friendly and cosy atmosphere, inside and outside Seating available opening hours of the restaurant : lunch : 12 h- 14 h 30 (closed between 15 h- 18 h 30) dinner: 19 h - 22 h please phone for public holidays in Mauritius closed on Sunday
We had a lovely meal here including one of best starters I've had: King Prawn Cassoulet which is presented as two prawns in each of six individual small dishes - wonderful. But in addition to that there is really large inviting bar where you can just get a beer or cocktail and not feel obliged to eat at the restaurant. To top it all, after a couple at the bar, the owner kindly drove us down to another restaurant down the road - now that's service for you!

Walked in and asked if they could accommodate us and the baby.
Given the place was largely empty it was eventually established that they could fit us in...outside.
There we sat, and waited... and waited, while the staff chatted, looked in our direction and did nothing to assist or take a drink order or offer us a high chair.
We eventually left without being served.
On a positive note, the wine glasses on the table appeared well polished and the women with breathtakingly large pearls who arrived after us received a warm reception so there may be potential for good service and perhaps even good food....we'll never know.

La Cosa Nostra is an Italian restaurant that features a large varieties of pies including seafood, and vegetarian options. They also have some very nice salads and pastas. Dinning is indoors, patio area, and alfresco. The ambiance is relaxed, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I believe the place is run by an Italian couple. They stock a good selection of wines from Italy.

Pleasantly surprised by the good taste of their burger and Pita bread. Fairly priced meals served with fantastic homemade fries. Parking is limited and tricky but this isn't a reason to stop you from visiting them.

"Chutneys" : Restaurant at La Mivoie : We welcome you to enjoy health and taste blended together with perfumes and colors- an emerging style of cuisine that stands mid-way of the West and the East. A medley of Western Mauritian kitchen turns into a adaptive Indian kitchen for dinners in the evening. "Chutneys" intensely represent the colors, the festivity and the extravagant character of a typical Indian cookery. Conveniently situated on the main road A3, in the center of the touristic town cluster of Tamarin, La Preneuse and Black River.
The food was prepared fresh with original spices. We visited this restauranr twice... it was good! Go there and try! Restaurant is open 5 p.m till 9 p.m. onlyHi there, Thank you very much for the sweet review and rating. Your review has been much helpful to many others. We hope to see you again. Thanks. Biren

We stayed in Fic en Flac in December near the beach, and I am in love with Roti aka Vinoda. There are various snack joints selling roti, but these guys made it fresh right there, and it was simple but heavenly!
Since the small place is now getting popular, there is a huge line around lunch time. We used to visit it early in the morning or in the evening when the line was smaller. And did I say how cheap it was?
recommendation: Order more than one. You will want to eat more and then there will be a line again.
Awesome stuff!
