We live here in taft and eat here a couple times a month. Their food and service is always great. They have the best salsa in Taft and maybe Bakersfield . I had the chicken fajita salad and it was very big and very good. I would recommend this place to eat anytime.

We visited for dinner on Friday night. We were seated right away. The steaks were cooked exactly as we requested and my medium rare porterhouse was very tender. Real bacon on the baked potatoes (that I'm sure never saw the inside of a microwave) and the salad dressing was homemade. The service was a tad slow and the décor is very, very dated but we would definitely go back.

Had dinner there mid week and enjoyed some excellent BBQ. We split a 2 meat basket and had left overs to take home. The meat was well smoked and the sauce was complimentary. The sides were generous and included a corn chili muffin, a cup of chili beans (really way beyond that) and your choice of a third item (cole slaw, fries, sweet potato fries, etc). The menu also features burgers and sandwiches. There was bottled bear and draft beer on tap. This is a small place with about 6 tables inside and two outside on the sidewalk. I know Taft is a bit off the beaten track but if I was driving up I5 and wanted some BBQ the Roots Eatry is worth the detour.

My wife and I at recommendations of friends ate our breakfasts at Jo's Restaurant. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The typical American style breakfast was large, delicious, and filling. I remember eating here 50 years ago when I was living in Taft.

This is the restaurant we visit the most, here in our hometown of Taft. They have a good selection of items to choose from, and not only Mexican food. I usually get a seafood dish, while my husband gets something different every time, as long as mashed potatoes comes with it. There is usually not too many people there, so you can get waited on quickly. The building could use some updating but even if it doesn't, the food is still good.

We were staying in Maricopa where the restaurant choices are very limited. Since Taft is only about seven minutes away from Maricopa, we decided to go there to Mi Casita. The staff was very friendly and our margaritas were delicious as were our meals. We both had the Enchilada Suizas. Usually we share a plate when we go out, but this time we each got our own. Good thing, too, since we ate practically everything on our plates! We had one enchilada each which was plenty. I recommend Mi Casita for the food, the drinks, and the service.

The best of Mexican cafeteria-style food. A gargantuan salsa bar- everything fresh. Carnitas, lengua, mariscos... all the good stuff home cooked slow out of an open kitchen. Not the place to go if you want tablecloths or if you dislike Mariachi music in the background... but this is the real deal. The staff are generous, and the clientele down to earth.

Dominos makes the best pizza in Taft, and they deliver quickly too. I order from their website when I order my pizza for delivery.

My co-worker brought me back a cheese burger from this place...wow. If you are looking for a greesy burger with an amazing taste...go no further. The staff are friend and fast.
