Welcome to Star Palace & Pizzeria in Odiongan, Tablas-Island, Romblon. TAKE A BREAK in the Middle of town, SIP your favourite milk tea or ENJOY A DELICIOUS MEAL at the No.1 MEETING POINT of the Island. AIRCONDITIONED.
This attractively presented cafe is about three years old.
It has Seating for about 20 and a classy interior with clean floor tiles, good suspended lighting and airconditioning from a spliut system unit although on my second visit the latter was defective making it very warm - but not stifling - inside.
I enjoyed two pizzas here - the seafood had fish and other fruits of the sea while the Hawaiian was also good. Prices were not particularly cheap - pizzas range from about P260 to P395 for the smaller size (a large quantity for one person!)
The San Miguel and huge range of milk teas (I had a Strawberry Oreo - beautiful) were served cold as they should be. Wine is also available (no Australian wines, sadly, from what I could deduce.)
Staff were pleasant.
An example of how smaller towns such as Odiongan are developing a cafe culture.
Tricycles regularly pass: flat fare of P20 in the town or out to Poctoy Port.

Service was slow and waitress very inexperienced. Owner sits in a chair at the entrance and watched TV and nothing more. Food was not very good compared to some recommendations from one local person in Tablas. I would not eat there ever again. Cats roam the inside and get under your table and the owner thinks that is cute.
There are much better restaurants in Tablas and we found them and ate in them the rest of our visit.

This restaurant - the proper name is Matthais' Gour Meats - 'gour' as in 'gourmet' - has a large (perhaps too large) Italian, Japanese, steak and pizza menu not to mention some German dishes given the proprietor's nationality.
It has three dining areas: there is nonairconditioned cafe Seating at the front that is brightly lit, a series of attractive Cabanas in native wood that are less well lit and at the back an airconditioned room Seating about 20.
I dined on a Thursday night with the aircon room being full by 1800 hours although I chose a cabana.
My Angus burger (sadly USA beef not Australian, despite Australian being closer to Philippines - the restaurant does stock some Australian meat though) came with cheese, cucumber and lettuce. Some vegetables have to come from Manila.
It was a huge burger and very nice, accompanied by French fries. The price was a reasonable P249.
I also enjoyed a small banana shake that cost P60.
All in all a terrific restaurant. Staff were friendly with one late 40s or early 50s lady running about: not easy in the warmth of the just finished day. The proprietor is also friendly and seems very competent, as well as having great English.

Beach BBQ South African Dishes Burgers Finger Foods Drinks and Cocktails Bar is open 24/7 Kitchen is open from 8:00AM to 10:00PM
At this restaurant the chef is the main attraction. they make a mean pot of Boyki which is a main South African Dish and WOW. The bar of course is open 24h a day and the Finger food keeps coming and never stops. I have been here many times due to the amazing way they treat clients. They make you feel like you are a part of what this place really is ( A Hidden Gem ).

Relaxing ambiance at footprints beach resort and restaurant. We serve cold drinks, shakes, delicious food, Deserts and good atmosphere. Come and enjoy your day at the beach with a swim and a hammock swing :-)
We ate a few meals here while on an overnight stay at the resort. We found the Pork Sisig to be the winner on the menu. So nice we had to have it twice. Their cook is a gem at the kitchen and can whip up a few wonder dishes.
