We loved this family style experience on our road trip. You get seated at any table with open seats, join strangers who quickly become neighbors, and immediately begin to break bread as bowls upon bowls of food begin arriving. Mains are fried chicken am's may loaf, sides include bean salads and perspe dishes and more, and dessert is sweet peach cobbler. And at 10 bucks, you can't beat the price.

Stopped in to eat and have a Blizzard. Upon entering, I noticed it was very clean unlike most DQ's. The staff was very attentive, efficient, and polite despite being very young aged. The food came out just like any other DQ, and the Blizzard was brought out as soon as I finished my burger. Again thumbs up to the young ladies and men that work there. It is refreshing to see young people acting professionally in this line of work. That seems to be rare these days.

I expected to get a great steak in Texas. The steaks were mediocre. No bread or rolls. No atmosphere unless you like bright lights. A single small paper napkin. When my husband ordered his cocktail “on the rocks”, the server looked confused until he explained “on ice”. My gin and tonic was made with something other than tonic. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This is located right in front of the Country Hearth Inn, the food is surprisingly excellent! I was on an 8-day road trips and all I could remember was this restaurant. All the fried food tasted fresh - that was very hard to do.
This is obviously a great local favorite because they were out in force before the football games. Everyone was so friendly that it was infectious whenever anyone came through the door. There is a good variety of meal choices, large portions and reasonable prices. This was a great experience when we passed through town.

Google it, or see "Top 50 BarBQ" in Texas Monthly Magazine
Stopped in while driving through and glad we did. Chopped brisket sandwich was very good. Bun is kind of sweet and added a good twist to the sandwich. Sides were also very good. Would stop again, but not sure whereSweetwater is since our navigation system brought us here

Was driving through Sweetwater and wanted some lunch. Never heard of Heff's before, but decided to give it a try. Glad we did. The burger was wonderful, as well as the Twister Fries (fresh potato chips). The onion rings were overcooked is the only fault that I can come up with. Probably should have asked for new order, but we were in a hurry.

This isn't a fancy restaurant. My rating is based on what it intends to be which is good, authentic Mexican food. The price was comparable to taco time here in Canada, the service was fast and we found it friendly. Too much to finish and all of it was very good and fresh. I tipped 25% based on the service. I'm not from the area and they answered my annoying questions. I thought it was better than Mexican food from Mexico....

The ingredients were fresh looking and tasting. Very friendly atmosphere. Just wish there was more flavor. First time visit: Steamed Dumplings (I can make better by buying a bag from the grocery store) They were sticky and not much flavor. Seafood Delight and Chicken garlic with vegetables was good. Have had better though. No garlic flavor. But again, really fresh and better than the Chinese Buffet Restaurant. The fried rice was not that flavorful either.

Got the "original" Schlotzsky sandwich (get the large and share it - it is better than the smaller ones).
Service was decent, bathrooms were clean.
Decent, quick stop right off of I-20 in Sweetwater, especially if you are on road trip and looking for something different than fast food burgers.
