II Laghetto restaurant is situated on the High street in Ewell Village, just on the corner facing the High Street and the Church Street.
Visit a few times every year. Always good food, brilliant service and an excellent time. Very rustic downstairs, private upstairs. Highly recommend, especially in a group!

Went for dinner this weekend and had a fabulous experience; the staff were very friendly and attentive and when my friend informed them she’s gluten free, the gentleman attending to us informed her that they could alter the ingredients of most dishes for her to make them gluten free and that they also had gluten free pasta for her which was fabulous, he ensured she ordered food that would be ok for her and assured her he’d made sure the kitchen knew. The food was delicious and it’s was such a cute little place I’ll definitely be returning

Organised a family meal (5 of us and 2 close to birthdays). It was very busy and we arrived at 7:30. Given the extent of people in the place we were served pretty quickly and ordered with in 10-15 mins. You have to give them some flexibility as we are not the only diners in the place. Well we all ordered starters that came in a timely fashion, the mains followed pretty soon after and the Deserts we given time to rest between the courses. The food was excellent, service superb and quality value for money. I gave them the heads up for the birthdays and they provided a nice touch with a desert and candle and a rendition of Happy Birthday which went down well. So thanks Kertu, you run and excellent team as always and Irina was very attentive too. Will be back of course because this is a really very good restaurant. Kindest regards Andy & Joanie :-)

Italian Restaurant - Authentic Italian Food - Restaurants in London
My fiancé brought me to this restaurant as a surprise and thankfully it turned out to be a good experience!
On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who was on the phone. She didn’t apologise or stop the conversation but at least she made eye contact. There were other waiters there ready to help us but it seemed they were waiting for her instruction. When she ended the call she greeted us and then they offered to take our coats and showed us to our seats.
The restaurant was set up as if for speed dating and there were balloons everywhere - the side of the restaurant that we were sitting on needed a lick of paint and there was a door that needed replacing - however my fiancé assured me that the other side of the room looked really nice. I couldn’t see it from where I was though.
Anyway moans out of the way, the food was top notch. I had goat’s cheese to start and pasta for main - very, very tasty - and we were given olives and bread and bruschetta and two canapés before we even ordered. A complimentary Kir Royal with a strawberry was also a nice treat.
The best thing all night though was the service (apart from the frosty welcome), our waiter was attentive and friendly. Everybody that served us gave us the best treatment and I have to say I can’t remember the last time we received service like this.
I’m regretful that we didn’t have any cash to leave a tip but I will definitely be calling the restaurant today to tell them about our waiter, who deserves the recognition.
Lovely food and excellent service!

The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down opened to the general public in May 2009 and offers over 30 prisoners full-time work within a true-to-life restaurant and kitchen environment. Alongside their employment the prisoners also train towards gaining nationally recognised City & Guilds NVQs in food preparation and food service before returning to their prison accommodation at the end of the working day. Upon their release, The Clink Charity helps the graduates find employment within the hospitality industry. The restaurant is an example of a unique charitable project that is committed to reducing reoffending rates in partnership with HMPS. The restaurant positively promotes the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners and also champions the wealth of quality, fresh and organic produce available locally. Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday between 8:15am and 10:30am, and lunch is served from Monday to Friday between 12pm and 3pm. Guests can enjoy Afternoon Tea from 2pm to 4pm. This must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Available for exclusive hire, The Clink Restaurant boasts a private dining room that offers projector and AV facilities making it perfect for meetings, conferences and presentations.
The Clink is a great lunchtime experience. An attractive modern restaurant within High Down Prison, providing training and work experience for prisoners. If you've never been inside a prison, this is an experience in itself. A great alternative venue for business lunches, where the absence of alcohol in such an environment is of no consequence. It's also a popular 'ladies who lunch' destination.
I've eaten in the Clink several times over the years that it has been open, and it's always an enjoyable experience. The front of house staff are always pleasant and helpful and the food is of a high standard. Most recently, last week, I ate the Christmas lunch there, which was delicious - I chose game terrine, roast beef and Yorkshires, and a chocolate tart with ginger ice-cream. As mentioned their coffee is great - the latte is strong and creamy. The Clink is a charity, and well worth supporting through eating a delicious meal there, to help the men that pass through the restaurant as waiters and in the kitchen get their lives back on track.

As on previously occasions we experience friendly staff, prompt service, generous helpings and good food. I had the calamari for starters which was cooked to perfection.

Came in a Tuesday night which is half price steak night..was amazing!! The mini meze board to start was lovely then everyone's fillet and ribeye steak was cooked to perfection by the Chef John. Thank you to the Proprietor Vas and his manager Ertie for a wonderful evening and really reasonable prices!!!

We've had several good meals here recently and the other night we ordered a takeaway, of our favourite dishes. I'm very taken with the king prawn red curry with basil, as well as the succulent chicken satay. I wasn't sure if the food would suffer in the transporting, but it tasted ever bit as good as it did in the restaurant. I do recommend the food here and when you eat there, the service is always friendly and quick.

Serving Lunch, Dinner,Take Away Collection and a Home Delivery, Private function available.
I had high hopes for Thai number 1 but it really wasn’t very nice.
We had soup, 2 curries and 1 rice. We waited a very long time for our food as they were waiting for a Delivery (on a Friday night)
We were sat by the door it was quite cold. The waitresses were nice and attentive and quite apologetic about the wait. The food when it arrived was average.
Unfortunately won’t return here.

Second time visiting this restaurant, both times with a Groupon voucher. The first time was the steak deal, which was ok. The second time was for the seafood or Italian deal. I had the scallops with prawns and mushrooms in a mustard cream sauce.. both the scallops and prawns were overdone, the prawns were obviously not cooked from raw and the sauce was more like soup. The main was not very nice either and I could not believe the dessert when I saw it taken out of a packet and put on a plate! No cooking from scratch here. But the best bit was the curdled cream in my Irish coffee! When I tasted it was clearly off and I have spent the last two days with nausea and an upset tummy!!! They did give me another without charge (yippee do da) but there was so much whisky in it I didn't enjoy or have a lot of it and to be honest was put off by the original one. I will not be going here again under any circumstances and will stick to my usual Grumpy Mole which is continuously a five star restaurant.
