Friendly restaurant with incredibly large menu of Thai, European, American and Mexican food. It's amazing they can keep up the quality with such a diverse menu. Doesn't look much, but the people are welcoming, speak good English and provide good service. Food was tasty (stir-fried...MoreThanks for your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed the food, drink, and service. We hope to see you again in the future. Our menu is diverse and we hope you try more of our dishes on your return.

Stumbled across this excellent coffee shop on my way back from the excercise park. Excelent Mocha served by a lovely lady called Nan. I noticed a 'Mageritaville magerita nachine on the counter and i was hooked. Visited every day for refreshments and check my email as free Wifi. The owner Nan very helpful and speaks good english told me how to find my way round the city. Well worth a vist and as well a twice as good as Starbucks a quarter of the price. I will be back in November for the Elephant festival.

Two of us were visiting Surin and descended on Pa Phim Pla Phao for dinner, based on the recommendation of a local friend. We were not disappointed.
We enjoyed a snakehead fish steamed with green vegetables and slices of pumpkin, served with a tangy dipping sauce. Snakehead fish is Freshwater and apart from the backbone, is not boney, so it is easy to eat. The fish was steamed to perfection.
We also ordered a plate of prawn and vegetable tempura, which was large enough to have fed half of Napoleon's army on its retreat from Moscow. We couldn't possible finish it, so offered it to the table next to ours, which included a bunch of young kids, who eagerly snatched up the tempura, which was crisp, and served with a slightly sweet dipping sauce.
We also had a small plate of sun dried pork, fried with lime leaves and garnished with black sesame seeds.
With rice, water and ice the bill was a very reasonable Baht 605.

Visitors to Thailand may have heard of Tawandang German Brewery - a chain with two outlets in Bangkok and one (formerly two) in Singapore. Bangkok has other nighteries with "Tawandang" in the name - such as Esan Tawandang. The latter features Isaan Morlam music in its live shows, and also features the usual Thai macro brews and other drinks and eats. No microbrews.
This place in Surin is related to several others around the country, including Esan Tawandang. Some reports claim that there is a relationship between these places and Carabao, for decades one of the best known Thai bands.
This place is smaller than either of the two Tawandang German Breweries in Bangkok (which, between them seat about 4000 people). But it still seats about 750 people (by rough count). It's a pleasant place for food, drinks, live music, and a lively vibe. Don't expect the food or drink to be "cheap" as that's how the performers also get paid. That is, normally there isn't a cover charge (though we saw a notice for a special event which apparently would have a cover charge - which seemed reasonable for the event).

Plain decor, but good Thai food. Not too pricey. Some staff have some English. Does some Western food but I would probably go somewhere else if I wanted Western.

First thing to say is, NOBODY does eggs properly in Thailand. So if you enjoy your full english breakfast, don't bother here. Some food is excellent- the Aloha burger is worth a mention- but too many of the other offerings are very bland.
The good things are that the place is very comfortable and relaxing. Music is chilled and the staff are very quick to attend to customers. Their chaa ma nao is the best I've had in Surin.

My wife and I visited the Green Terrace on the advice of a friend. We were not disappointed! Excellent food in a beautiful garden atmosphere with water features, comfortable Seating either outdoors or in air conditioning. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They offer a wide variety of Thai dishes and some Western food as well. We shall return.

A meeting place for Thai Thai, Chinese Thai and local Westerners. Great coffee and very nice cakes. Not much Seating inside, but the shady outside tables are comfortable. Close to Train station (200m) and not too far from bus terminal. Staff understand English.

Delicious fresh and comfort.
A place you can sit and enjoy all types of food, portions can vary between small and to much depending on what you order. Generally clean and tidy. Staff are very good and after a while they know what you are looking for. They cater for those that do not require a high level of spicy/hot flavours. The price is very good and value for money.

Had dinner here. Yum!! It was the real thing- made by a real life Italian. Good ingredients, fast service and great taste. We are vegetarian so had the 4 cheeses pizza and the Vegie calzone. All nice!
