This quiet little restaurant was the perfect setting for a family New Years celebration.
The service was exceptional.
The food DELICIOUS! and plentiful.
Everyone in our party felt satisfied and eager to return for another wonderful meal
(Even the vegetarian in our group found appetizers and entrees to their liking)
This will definitely be a frequented haunt for this local!

Went here on a whim from Myrtle Beach. We were glad we did. The shrimp, black bass and crab cakes were fresh and awesome. It’s all outside seating but perfect. Everything was delicious and of course fresh. The staff were friendly and inventively our needs.

I admit my expectations were not high for this little storefront restaurant. But after two fine experiences, I highly recommend it. Our most recent meal was takeout sandwiches and desserts. Portions are generous, and one sandwich is plenty for two with normal appetites to share. The Tom Turkey got rave reviews, as did the club wrap. The potato salad was exceptional — likely better than any you remember. And coconut cream pie, lemon bar and Key Lime pie were off the charts good. Try it — dine in or carry out!

If you read all the glowing reviews on the Calabash Creamery you would think they'd discovered a new planet, or at the very least, found the Lost Ark. The only thing I can think of is that the tourists that flock there must not have a good old fashioned quality ice cream parlor in their hometown. Yes, the ice cream is good....even very good....and yes, the place is "cute" with an ice cream parlor feel and a wrap around porch. And yes, on a hot summer's day, there's nothing better than a dish or cone of quality ice cream. But be prepared in peak times for crowds....people that can't make up their minds once they finally get up to the counter....and to have your Gold Card in hand, because the price of cones for you and your troops will be roughly the same if you bought every quart at the local Food Lion or Publix!

We are the lucky ones living a block away from this ice cream store. We have enjoyed it for over 10 years. Wanda the owner is frequently there and is a joy to talk with. She employs local teens to do the scooping and they are all pleasant and knowledgeable. Well over 20 flavors of ice cream. Home made waffle cones.

Established in 2014 to bring quality coffee, small kitchen meals, real fruit smoothies, organic baked goods completed by people with a passion for serving.
Nice place for a coffee break. Smoothies are also good. Prices are a little pricey, considering it's not Starbucks and the only coffee shop without going over the bridge it's still well worth the price!

Located in a remodeled liqour store, Mavericks Java & Bistro is a family owned and operated coffee shop, wine shop, and bistro. Food offerings range from cooked to order breakfast, lunch or house-made pastries. Drinks include gourmet organic coffee & espresso, specialty lattes, frappes (blended coffee), iced coffee, tea, wine by the glass, mimosas, Italian soda, and more! Soy & almond milk available.
What a pleasant surprise upon entering this coffee shop. I thought it was just a little hole in the wall coffee shop...but it was not. First of all the inside was spacious and super clean. Service was quick and very pleasant. Lots of room to sit, relax and enjoy your coffee. One must try the muffins huge, moist and delicious. The coffee was awesome and such a variety. On one wall there was a great selection of wines. What a total surprise. Will return again. My lesson learned is not to judge a place by the outside.

Our Eighth trip to Ocean isle would not be complete without going to Fibber's. Food is always Excellent and the beer cold. What more can a good Irishman ask for.

Really loved this little restaurant tucked away in Calabash NC. Different homemade soups every day, which isn’t easy to find in a seaside town. Sandwiches were generously sized and a very large assortment was offered. There was also a deli case with 12+ varieties of main meals (meatloaf, lasagna) and salads (seafood, macaroni, coleslaw, olive, etc.). Fresh and homemade, of course! You could eat in or take home any of these for meals at home. Then there was the bakery...oh, my....
