This eatery was recommended as the best seafood in the area. It's pretty good. Not gourmet, but for a fisherman's platter, fried scallops, clams--all the traditional seafood in the American cuisine, we go here.
Funny story: I am kind of a health nut, and when I ordered the all-fried fisherman's platter, my husband said, "What are you doing?" I said, "I don't know, it's kind of a childhood memory."
Later, in the month, I was watching Anthony Bourdain's travel piece on New Jersey (no kidding), and he went into a place in NJ and ordered the fisherman's platter. He admitted it was counter-culture with health stuff and all, but he said, "I don't know, it's kind of a chlldhood memory." Again no kidding. Funny, right?
When we want fine dining seafood, we have our fav in Jamestown, RI--Jamestown Fish.

Met a friend for dinner this week and we both ordered the Bolognese. Our server, Nick, was very attentive, friendly and helpful. He stayed close by and met our every need before we could ask. He checked on us frequently and always had an interesting word to share. The food was delicious with generous portions. We started with a local heirloom tomato salad which should not be skipped. Our amuse-bouche was a delectable double bite of fried mozzarella with tomatoes and basil. Superb! Love this spot and will return for sure!

Love, love, love their ice cream. There is nothing like fresh homemade ice cream. Summer wouldn't be complete without a visit to Collins Creamery.

Not local ice cream, but many flavors to choose from. Very limited seating indoors (two little tables?), so not a great option on a rainy or cold day, but there are picnic tables in the back for hot summer days and evenings.

This is a very popular spot for a great cup of coffee, early morning breakfast and a great place to meet friends. Enjoyed breakfast here the other morning and caught up on the latest news in town and renewed old friendships. There is a group of locals who enjoy this restaurant every day and there is a photo of the "group" on the wall! This is a convenient location and a fun place to meet.

Stopped in for a quick dinner before going to my hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the pork spring rolls and potstickers. Great choice. Then I had a bowl of beef Pho soup. Besides being very filling, it was fantastic. Whether you're at an airport hotel or just driving through, this is a must stop restaurant.

What we do is simple (delicious and fresh panini with knock-your-socks-off service). How we do it is a little more complicated. To deliver a great product, we start with great people. And great people come from great communities, which means taking an interest in where we live and work as responsible citizens. And that’s really where it starts for us — supporting our communities and our staff with a culture of service and treating all just as we would want to be treated. We believe that approach leads to the best possible product for the customers we love!
My family and I were pleasantly surprised at the amazing taste of the paninis we ordered! The service was great as we came in the restaurant right before closing!
I ordered the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious, my husband chose the chicken parmigiana and it was just as good! My daughter ordered a grilled cheese panini that she loved! We will definitely be back!

We locals just love our Dairy Cream! Offering soft serve, milk shakes, frozen yogurt, flurries, sundaes and hard ice cream, it is the best place to have a treat on a hot summer night. Don't be intimidated by the long lines...They keep the crowds moving! And the ice cream is worth waiting for! My kids and I love going here and are always sad when it closes for the season. Try the Hot fudge sundae with peanut butter sauce!

Nice Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is more dinner type which was fine with me. Bread came with dinner and the rolls were great. Salad was fresh. I had the clam chowder and it was very good. Entrees are large and good.
