As we could not find any other (open) place in Dingwall, we decided on going to Wimpy. Kind of an unhygienic place. The food was so-so. The chicken burger was not bad, the beef was also okay.. Not better or worse than a McDonalds or Burger King. The jacket potato was empty and therefore dry. I would not eat there again - not even because of the food but the hygiene.

The Jacobite Restaurant is located in the beautiful Ben Wyvis Hotel and offers the best in Scottish and international cuisine. Our food is as simple and natural as possible, offering table d'hote and a la carte menus, featuring a range of local favourites and signature dishes and using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
Stayed at hotel so sampled dinner & breakfast. Dinner nice enough but slightly bland; really needed heated up though as was at best lukewarm. Breakfast was a buffet which again was lukewarm . Suspect catering standards may be dictated by the fact the restaurant is catering for coach parties. Staff were nice though and service quite quick.

In for a evening meal. Quickly shown to our seats and ordered drinks. Popadums were brought while we looked over the menu. I ordered the Sheek Kebab as a starter which was excellent. For main course I had Red Fort Chicken Biryani and my partner had Lamb Pasanda with nan bread. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was of a very high standard. Well recommended.

Bought some BBQ spare ribs, Beef Curry and Sweet & Sour Chicken.
The curry sauce was literally made from bisto curry sauce powder that you can buy from the shop (could easily see it in the background) and the beef was razor thin and not fully cooked.
However the Sweet and Sour chicken was very nice and the BBQ spare ribs were too but the sauce seems jelly and full of fat.
First time here and not sure if we would return.
The staff were lovely though.

RedPoppy Restaurant is an elegant restaurant situated on the main street in Strathpeffer. Featuring a varied evening menu with exciting dishes full of flavour, there is something for everyone. The evening menu changes regularly. RedPoppy Restaurant also offers a light lunch menu featuring the ever popular RedPoppy Club Sandwich as well as customer favourites chicken fillets with sweet & sour sauce and macaroni with garlic bread. RedPoppy Restaurant will seat between 50 and 60 guests and is a light, airy space with amazing paintings by local artist Nicola Macdonell.
Good food, big portions. Lovely staff.
Would have had 5 stars but our table top had been cut with a knive or similar leaving if scored , these scores had then turned black making it very unsightly and a germ collector. I used my napkin to cover the offending cuts. It should either be taken out of commission or have a table cloth over it or repaired completely. Apart from that, a good restaurant and good value.

Scottish restaurant serving fantastic breakfasts, snacks, lunches, cakes, teas and coffees in a relaxed atmosphere on the edge of The Cromarty Firth.
After touring Balblair Distillery, we stopped at this restaurant to enjoy some Scottish food. They have cafeteria style eating--find your own seat, line up for your meal, etc. The food was excellent. Excellent.
We ordered some sort of venison? It was delicious. A few weeks ago, we saw The Storehouse on Delicious Destinations featuring a dessert they are apparently famous for. Unfortunately, my husband doesn't eat dessert, and I was full from the beer, whiskey tasting, and the venison, so we didn't try it, but now I wish I would have. So, if you go, order the fruit and cream dessert. It looked delicious.
If you can get a seat by the window, you'll have a great view of some Highland vistas. We were lucky enough to score a window seat, and we kicked back for an hour and enjoyed our meal.

One of the best cafes in the area- certainly the best coffee and service unparalled- traditional and friendly. Family business
Fantastic coffee and best ham and cheese toasty I've had in years. Great service, pleasant and friendly. Only downside was no dogs, however lovely day so sat outside and enjoyed some very uncommon Scottish Sunshine!!

Corner on the Square is a licensed delicatessen and eaterie overlooking the square in the historic village of Beauly. We offer a range of fine food and drink from up the road, round the corner and from across the globe. The welcome is unashamedly Highland and we look forward to greeting you soon!
I was the awkward customer who asked for a prawn Sandwich which was not on the menu. They delivered ....sauce on the side....perfect. Served with salad and dressing. I forgot to ask for the dressing on the side but it was okay as the dressing was as it should be...drizzled! ..not clarted! Coffee was lovely. Pate excellent.
The waitresses were all very pleasant and very helpful and so kind and patient with the few elderly folk in. It was a pleasure to see. The service was exceptional from the 3 young lassies that served us. Very attentive.
Super deli. Bought lots of yummy foods.
Definitely recommended. Definitely go back.

I saw good reviews about this coffee shop on Trip Advisor whilst on a recent holiday in the area. We weren't disappointed. Situated in the old Victorian railway station, it has character and charm. The freshly made scones and coffee were delicious. The friendly staff made the visit. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Very busy and popular restaurant right in the heart of the historical and lively village of Beauly. We have a traditional style restaurant, and for a quick pit stop we have a coffee and cake area attached. We also have a more budget offering in our Bistro, which is situated in our main bar. At the Priory we can provide transport to and from the restaurant for tables of 4 or more, within a 5 mile radius free of charge. Booking is highly recommended. The restaurant has full wheelchair access.
Service was reasonable but could of done with a little more attention...maybe this was due to the young staff. Seabass was delicious, not sure what happened to the wilted spinach....more crispy than wilted however overall dish was tasty. Disappointed with the Baileys cheesecake, seriously lacking...MoreGood Afternoon Karen. Thank you for taking the time to review, your constructive comments will be addressed and are sincerely appreciated. Kind Regards Stuart
