Its listed in "Urban Spoon.com".
You can't go wrong at La Juanita. They have an excellent selection of tacos, burritos, tostadas, sopas, and other specialty items. Excellent seafood, including ceviches, fried fish, and seafood cocktails. They carry authentic Mexican sodas and beers too.
It's mostly self serve. Order at the counter, they call out when your foods' ready, you go get it.
All the sauces/salsa are made in house.Be sure to ask for some carrots. They're complimentary( for a small serving) and a nice addition to a good meal.
The prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the staff is friendly.
It's a winner all around!

We stopped while in Storm Lake for Parents Weekend at the nearby university, Buena Vista. There are two locations a drive through which we visited and a shop that also includes soup, sandwiches, salads as well as a variety of drinks, hot and cold. I ordered a chai tea and my son ordered one of their special hot coffee drinks. They have 3 sizes, similar to the infamous other coffee place, however I liked their version much better, overall better flavor and texture. This is one of places to stop while in the area

Storm Lake Bakery has been serving the community since 1916 with great doughnuts, pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
We visited the bakery while in Storm Lake to see our son at the college, we stopped to grab a few pastries for him, but was surprised to see such a large assortment so ended up with a box of treats - staff very friendly.

Every time I have been to this dairy queen they seem to mess up my order somehow. Forgetting something or giving me pop that is completely flat. Even a few times they ran out of certain food also. Would not go back here.

BozWellz is Storm Lake Iowa's premier dining experience. Italian, seafood, steak, prime rib, porkloin, chicken and possibly the world's best reuben. Homemade desserts by Cindy, with cheesecake specialities and homemade ice cream.
Service was really nice here. Food is hit or miss. Grilled salmon was good, burger and fries was good. Chicken salad - Cajun chicken was good, salad sad and wilted. I didn't like the taste of the chili soup. And hamburger chowder was pretty much like it sounds - thick and goopy. But that being said my BF liked both of those. Woul love to go back and try their desserts.

I was here recently for a meeting and I ordered a coffee. The interior was very blah - not much personality. Fortunately, the coffee was good. I probably would not visit here again if I wanted to sit and have a cup of coffee and read a book as it's not a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Really fun place to eat. The food was awesome also. Large portion sizes. The cheese balls were excellent. We were served very timely. I would recommend the food. Large menu

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here - the pizza and salad buffet was excellent. Lots of variety of pizzas and salad fixings, as well as fried chicken, and desserts. We would come back here. Some of our family live here so they had reserved a back room for our family group - that was great especially because there were several young children and this way they were 'contained' :).

This is a pretty cool restaurant with very neat decorations. The food is pretty good. The Mexican nachos, egg rolls and the steak melt are our favorites. I can't remember for sure if it was called the steak melt or not, but it was a bed of hashbrowns with steak, shrimp and crab with sautéed veggies and hollandaise sauce. It's very good. They also have a small salad bar.

This is the best Mexican you will find in the area. Lau Janita's downtown maybe the most authentic (order/fast food) but this is an excellent sit down and excellent service. One person will seat you, another offer water/chips/salsa, another will take your drink order, and another will come as your waiter/waitress and take your order. It is a great place to take someone for a birthday with a party area in back for larger groups. I suggest ordering the Pollo Locco and ask for the special cheese sauce to add to it or dip your chips and mix with salsa-excellent!
