The restaurant in the Hotel Milano is a popular place across from the train station in Mosjoen. There were some tour groups and people from the train as well as locals eating there. They have a large varied menu but we had a pizza which was good.

Superb food at very short notice; 12.00 am . . . Given the time, we were hoping to settle for snacks but the chef and a waiter volunteered stay on and prepare hot meal for us. The food was fantastic

Offers locally made food from the Helgeland region like reindeer meat, mountain char and lots more. In addition to this, you can buy a cup of coffee and a bite to eat and enjoy the atmosphere in the old country store.

Cozy and stylish Restaurant as part of the Fru Haugans Hotel.
Very friendly staff. Small but very good menu with Norwegian ingredients, Three choices for each course, Starter, Fish, Meat and Dessert. Norwegian standard wine range of a good basic quality.
For the time being best choice in town.

My favourite place in Mosjøen.
No, you don't go here to eat fancy dinners (they don't serve it) and you don't go here for a glass of wine or a cup of espresso either.
But if you wan't a cup of black coffee or hot chocolate and a fresh bread roll or some local pastry (krinalefse or melkkake) then this is the place to go. Add up with a peaceful athmosphere, local art on the walls and every now and then a mini-concert with local musicians this is the place to go.

Outstanding service, wonderful food! I tried the three course Artic Menu and my parents both had the lamb. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I particularly enjoyed the venison. Also the caramel cream with the caramel pudding was excellent.

We came across this cafe/restaurant while staying at the Fru Haugans Hotel just a minute or two down the road. We were looking for something open at 10 pm with outdoor Seating and a variety of things on the menu. We were very happy to find this casual cafe (seemed like a ghost town at that hour) and really enjoyed our meal. We had a chicken Caesar salad (not really a Caesar); fresh sushi; and really good, thin pizza with tasty vegetables. The service was great and they gladly took my special order.

Stoppet her for å smake på lokale oster.

I am in a sailing boat from Asker outside Oslo, heading for further northern part of Norway, when I had an evening by myself in Sandnessjøen. I walk around in the city center and found Scandinavie Mat og Vinhus at the corner of Petter Dass'...MoreThank you very much for the great feedback. It is a big motivation for us in our strive to satisfy our guests in terms of good quality food and best in class service.
