The mussel appetizer is served chilled having been marinaded in some citrus type marinade. They were tough and not particularly great. I ordered a steak medium-rare and it was thoroughly cooked through, not the worst I've had, but far from what I'm accustomed to in the US midwest. I liked the feel of the bar, good local flavor. Not the best but you could do worse.

Hello! Welcome to the Southern Most Fish and Chips in the World! We look forward to hosting you for Kai!
Ripoff prices for fish. Tiniest cuts of fish ever. Yet too many chips leading to wastage. Owners / staff have no idea how to run a fish & chip outlet let alone a 'restaurant.' Talking to some locals they too are disappointed that this outlet is giving the Island a bad name. Advertises free wifi - which is actually proved by the Community Centre across the road.

Church Hill Restaurant is a fully licenced a la carte restaurant specialising in local seafood with a cosy open fire, 3 separate dining areas plus deck with amazing vistas. Private functions welcomed. Courtesy car drop-off available. Open from 5:30pm till late.
Definitely need a reservation, they will not take you if you don't have one. We had the lamb, fish, and vegetable pasta entrees and green lipped mussels-all were cooked perfectly and presented in a beautiful way. Nice to sit outside and have a view of...MoreGreat to hear you enjoyed your dining experience with us recently and many thanks for your comments.

... so it seems from the reviews that there is something very strange happening with the coffees ... some good days and some bad days .... this was a bad day ... looked like a great latte but tasted of really nothing ... should have said something I guess but already cold and wet and a bit miserable and didn't want the grief ... owner this is worth getting to the bottom off ... something is not right.

First night re-opening. Warm, friendly, welcoming and genuine hospitality. Fantastic location, water-level views out into Halfmoon Bay. This is going to be a brilliant addition to the Oban local dining options. Leigh . . . be different, serve local seafood, and you will be brilliant!

Tony Paul runs Lighthouse Pizza and he has no liquor license. It is in the works. He is cash only. I'm sure credit card processing is in the works. He makes about 5 kinds of pizza, but I suspect he might be willing to do some customization. We ordered the mushroom pizza and were charmed by Tony and various local denizens of Oban who popped in to banter and/or order pizza. The first go in the wood-fired oven was not quite right so we gladly enjoyed the wait for a wickedly good pizza. If it weren't such a long commute from California I would regularly order from him, in fact I'd love to be considered one of his regulars, though I can't, since I've only ordered one.
