I went there seeing reviews on tripadvisor with lots of expectation.
firstly, you wont get sambhar ith dosa and tea in this hotel. Dosa has sagu stuffed with lots n lots of onions with ordinary coconut chutney. Nothing special or mouth licking at all. After dosa, only option is coffee that tooo very extraordinary. Seems they have 2 mylari hotel(same family) same road nearby both looked similar only. Would never visit again when in mysore. Wants to give some negative star which is not possible. :)

I love the ambiance of both Gufa and Jungle. The food is amazing and this is that one place where you won't go back home disappointed. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served. I love the way they have named their items in menu.
Dinner is a-la-carte and as said, your taste buds wont forget the food. I have once tried the lunch buffet as well, which was not heavy on the wallet but food variety was just ok.
Paneer Satay and Sultan ki khanjar is my all time favourite.

The place is extremely crowded at all times and no queue or order maintained. People push and shove for a table and the hotel staff do nothing to manage the crowds. It’s a very old establishment which used to serve delicious veg and non-veg food. Even though the taste of food has changed over the years, its still better than most other restaurants around.

What a terrific place! It was everything that has been written about it and more. We ordered the churmura, millet bisiblebath, red rice rotis with dry pumpkin curry, moringa soup, gobi Manchurian, veg Sandwich, buttermilk. Every dish was lovingly put together, healthy, wholesome, very tasty and the portions were large. Only feedback is that the waiter was clueless as to the order in which to serve. The soup came much after the bisiblebath which ended up cold while we waited for the side dish. Dhatu is a must visit for anyone who likes healthy, organic eating or just good tasty food.

Such a cute vegan cafe in Mysore !! A very chilled out cafe where you will generally see expats Reading and with friends. This place is famous for their vegan cookies and thalis. We tried Mediterranean Sandwich, coffee and vegan cookie which was lip smacking. A place where you can chill with friends

Food was ok, nothing memorable. The ambiance was like you are entering a cave with a background score playing. The darkness & total theme with just a spotlight over your table would have been really enjoyable if the management would have requested the guests to maintain a certain level of quietness / decorum, once you enter. It became a loud joint and the fun of the theme was completely destroyed- for which you actually pay higher. The billing and service took a lot of time. Since we were staying in the same hotel (Pai vista) it was good paying a visit.
If : a) The service is improved ; b) loud customers are restricted or pre-instructed to maintain ambiance - this restaurant will definitely get higher ratings.

Well we popped into BBQ nation @ Mysore for a lunch. Though service was slow it picked up. The buffet spread was not too much
Bit disheartening to see that the kulfi counters were not manned all the time
3 brithday's we're celebrated and I are say the staff need more practice in singing
