An intimate restaurant where everyone was warm and helpful and the complimentary Afgan bread and four dips made you feel like you found your new home.
The Hot Mazza Assortment appetizer (leek ane scallion turnover; roasted butternut squash, roasted eggplant puree, and leek dumping) is excellent and almost enough for a full meal.
The Sabzi Turnover (Boulanee) were phillo dough stuffed with spinich, kale, collard green, turnip leaves, and mustard greens and cilantro with an avocado chutney allows you to get a variety of healthy greens in a very pleasing manner.
The Pumpkin Dumplings with their thin shell wrappings were wonderful, heated up the next day.
The Sheer Birinj (Afgan rice pudding with cardamon and crushed pistachios) was delicious.
The Doogh yogurt drink came in a huge plastic beer mug was very healthy and generous, but it gave me a night of smelly gas. Not recommended if you have to go back to work or a movie later or if you want to impress your date. 8-)

The small chain of these restaurants (includes Coastal Flats and others) is tough to beat. Consistently excellent service and food, regardless of where you go. Our first time here and they didn't disappoint. A good sized group (8) and one waiter who kept up for the most part. Food and drinks delivered promptly. Didn't have anything fancy, a BBQ burger. Quite tasty but had to revert to a fork as the BBQ sauce is placed under the burger and the bun and sandwich fall apart (put the sauce under the cheese) and your hands get covered in sauce. Will definitely return and have a more substantial meal. Parking is a bear here and they pack it in....not sure if they call-ahead or reservations. We arrived at 4 pm on a Sunday and the place was packed and few places to park.

We love Eleni’s! Try the lamb kebab or the spaghetti with seafood, or, if you’re there for lunch, the reuben or the gyro, and be sure to get some of those marvelous Greek potatoes. The salads are always fresh and cold and crisp, and I love their house dressing. Everything is delicious. It’s a bit tricky to find, but you won’t be disappointed.

To beat the Valentine's Day rush. Had heard how many folks in our area really were impresses with the setting, quality & amount of food. Observed the customer first approach of "SOCIO", our server. My Burrito San Jose, piping hot and pleasant eye appeal. As seniors, my wife enjoyed her Ole Quesadilla and commented on how much she enjoyed it ,giving the ice tea a strong recommendation. Price wise it worked very well $. menu offered several alternatives which we will sample upon return visits. Handicapped parking limited at front door. Parking area abounds near this facility. No rush even at lunch. Lunch specials were attractive. Restroom facility. a noted plus. l welcomed change of pace, This facility is one of three in our local area. Appears, "take out" supportive. All this time, excellent Mexican food, just under our nose.

Malek's is always outstanding. I have been coming here for years, and I have never had a less than excellent experience, nor have I ever been let down in any way. Everything is freshly cooked to order, and a true hometown place where the locals know to come to eat!
I actually almost always get their Gyro Platte or Pita - let me tell you, there is NO PLACE ELSE that even comes close to their excellent gyros. The meat is literally the best I have ever had anywhere, and it is my go-to dish!
Everything else we have ever ordered is equally as good, but the gyros are really to die for!
We always get friendly and quick service here - and the prices are so fair!
I highly recommend Maleks!

This place is very very busy. We ordered basic food and waited about 35 minutes. Our server went out of his way to help us since we were so hungry after a long day traveling. That was nice. The French onion soup and dessert trio were amazing! However, the kids meals were prepared kind of strangely where the pizza sauce was spicy and the kids refused it. So they shared chicken tenders but disliked the spicy BBQ dipping sauce. For adults- yes! Loved it. The specialness of the ingredients threw my picky eaters for a loop. Dessert was so so awesome though. My Turkey burger had veggies cooked into it so I indulged in sharing the dessert trio. I would return just for the dessert trio. They have mini sized portions and it's wonderful. The Apple peach cobbler, creme brûlée, and chocolate soufflé were fantastic.

For a chain food restaurant, this spot delivers on fresh ingredients. I had breakfast during my recent stay in Springfield. Omelette (although with fresh veggies) was cooked too hard; pancakes were so-so, better with the warm syrup. Moderately high marks are given for the expedited service; and for the free tabletop juke box (of course ).

I remember when they were just starting out in the 60s. They had a little store in Arlington, Virginia. The hamburgers were great then. Now I'm not so fond of them. They are all over the country. Found them in Florida. But the hamburgers were just too greasy.

Had brunch here on our quest to try as many places in Springfield as possible. Service was good, but somehow the kitchen chose to ignore part of the order until five minutes after my food arrived. It was rather odd that you are able to order huevos rancheros with eggs to order, but they didn't bother to ask how the eggs should be cooked until after half of the order is delivered.
Portion sizes were good and the food was tasty. I'm willing to go back again to see if the service glitch was an anomaly.

A traditional American Steakhouse, Monty's is an upscale, casual fine dining restaurant serving a unique blend of sensational fish & appetizer selections alongside 21-28 day dry-aged beef.A good experience, satisfying portions and a neighborhood steakhouse to call your own. Welcome to Monty's.
The drinks were good, the steaks delicious, and the desserts above average. The décor is not fancy, but the server (who has the uncommon name of Pleas) did a masterful job of making us feel welcome. He even kept a straight face when my friend ordered a steak "Medium Well."
