Freddy Valentines is located in the historic beautiful State Bank of Spring Green. It has a very eclectic menu, always made from scratch, much of it local, and during growing season much of it is organic. FV's has daily and evening specials. Freddy's offers full bar service, with all cocktails made from scratch, a large wine selection and many local beers. Freddy's has been recognized by Travel Wisconsin as a "Restaurant Worth the Drive", Best Things Wisconsin as a "Best Unique Restaurant in WI" and Only in Wisconsin as a "Best Restaurant in a Small Town in WI". FV's only takes reservations for one table in our unique vault room for groups of 6 to 8 all other tables are first come first serve. We enjoyed chatting with the owner and learning of the building's history. Great restoration, excellent food, friendly staff. It fits in well with the area's attractions (Taliesin, American Playhouse).
I had the ribs with house BBQ sauce-- moist, meaty, fall off the bone tender. Slaw was spicy and good. But my favorite was the sweet potato fries (substituted for the potato salad). They were so crispy and heavenly, even cooled down.
My husband had the perch tacos and fries, also excellent. Good IPA on tap as well.

Our store is open Monday- Saturday 8am to 5pm, Sundays 8am-4pm. The Kitchen is open 8am-2pm 7 days a week. Come sit on our front porch, eat with us, shop with us or get some water for your dog. Our cafe features old school 'comfort food" with a creative twist including vegetarian options, excellent coffees and micro-brews. Our retail store offers an inspired selection of women's clothing, jewelry & accessories and a one of a kind gift shop experience all in a 1910 converted cheese warehouse. We take pride in our diverse selection of gifts and friendly customer service.

The breakfast was very good. Usual diner breakfast prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. The freshly baked breads were warm and oh so yummy. The English muffins were awesome, added some peanut butter and there was nothing better. A very nice clean place.

Pleasant area opposite gift shop in visitor's center for drinks and "light fare." The day we were there (Friday) they only had a burger, chicken sandwich, or yummy grilled cheese but food was delicious, (didn't try chicken), w/side of fries or green salad. Coffee good, too. Lovely view out to the Wisconsin River. Prices reasonable considering you're a captive diner.

Stopped here to have dessert on a Wednesday evening. Dining room was empty except for one other couple. Waitress brought us menus, and we told her we were just here for dessert. Each of us ordered a different type of pie. The pies were served straight out of the refrigerator. Very unappealing. The waitress seemed "put out" that we were even there. Not friendly at all. One of us asked for coffee, and she never came back and offered a refill. Not interested in return customers?

This is an old fashioned supper club with an interesting interior. The menu has the usual variety.. Steaks, chicken, fish etc. each night they have a special. We actually chose to eat there twice because our first dinner was so good. My friend has to...MoreAwesome! Great to hear you enjoyed your visits!

Wide choice of sandwiches, fruit, finger food and some desserts. Very casual and the offerings change daily. This is, as they say, a kitchen, not a fine dining establishment. But the people are charming -- the owner directs at APT -- and very accommodating. Take a book or two to peruse as you sit at an old table. Avoid play and seminar times -- seating is quite limited. Oh, yes -- and the food's good.

Nice facility, typical Culvers experience which I almost always enjoy... very good fast food ... clean, friendly personnel.. prices higher than typical fast food but reasonable for very flavorful items

We were in a group of 10 on a Sunday morning and with a phone call ahead of time, they were able to accommodate us easily. Our group ordered a variety of items from the menu and all of us were happy with our selections.
