A wonderful mix of remnants from its Roman and medieval pasts, Spoleto’s history actually goes back further to Bronze Age Umbria. Today, it’s best known for its annual summer Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of Two Worlds or Spoleto Festival), honoring music, opera, theater and dance. Among the city’s many excellent historic sights are its first-century Roman amphitheatre, the 12th-century Duomo, 13th-century Ponte delle Torri aqueduct and the 14th-century hilltop fortress, Rocca Albornoziana.

This is a fine dining restaurant. Food delicious, my first experience of truffles, the homemade pasta with truffles beyond delicious. Scallops, rabbit, all yummy. Wine very good too. Service charming, efficient and attentive without being intrusive, perfect! So many restaurants get that balance wrong. A restaurant of this quality would have been far more expensive in the UK so good value for money too.

Beautiful food, we have the antipasti platter, truffle pasta, vegetarian salad and the duck breast for dinner, the platter was amazing with lots of local meats and cheeses, plenty of fresh truffle grated over pasta, duck beast was cooked beautifully and the vegetarian salad with tomato and buffalo mozzarella was divine. Not much English spoken but we managed to get by, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

The dishes we offer are the result of our passion and our love to the kitchen and to the good things that this earth knows us. We start from a basic product that is oil, we use only oil of our production (NB olive oil is also used for frying) for beef and veal we rely on local butchers which they use exclusively animals raised in the wild. The meat of lamb come from our Mountains of Campello, animals are bred and raised in the open countryside and fed exclusively on organic products by the shepherds who also provide us with cottage cheese and cheese. The meat is cooked in a wood-burning fireplace and exclusively use wood of oak and olive. The vegetables are almost all of our production, the rest come from gardeners of the place (they do not use chemical fertilizers). For wines we have a good selection of local producers of whom we know the reliability and experience in the wine industry. The pasta is almost all of our production, we have women who every morning preparing the dough rolled out by hand. The truffle is harvested by local quarrymen in our woods with the help of the dog and allowed only at certain times. The meats are all aged in our warehouses at an altitude of 650 m above sea level, and they are all locally produced.
This restaurant is absolutely splendid - beautiful host - Bernadetto knows his stuff and he makes all the salami and cures it all himself - we had the degustation menu and it was all beautiful - we can't recommend this place enough and well worth the drive - they have a sister restaurant in Spoleto ristorante sabatini - just as wonderful !

Several years had passed since I had been to Spoleto and there was no doubt in my mind where I wanted to have lunch: La Torretta! After many years, I can say that La Torretta has maintained its wonderful reputation. Excellent food, wonderful ambiance and impeccable service, just as I remember. I had a pumpkin flan on a bed of Parmesan puree, strangozzi alla spoletina, la crescionda (Spoleto specialty) all washed down with a superb glass of Rosso di Montefalco....all superb! Complimenti!!!

Very large restaurant. Mostly seems to cater to local families and larger groups. Most tables seemed to eat pizza or relatively low priced stuff, and jug wine. Even though there is excellent local wine, from Montefalco, which we recommend.
While service is nice, with tablecloth etc., this is actually a relatively inexpensive place, not really fine food. Still, good value for the money, but Reading some reviews here, one might end up with unreasonable expectations...
We had a fiorentino steak. Which was quite impressive when it arrived at our table, and we mananged to finish the whole thing. Not bad, but we have had better. We ordered rare, but it came a bit more cooked than I had expected.
Still, if in the area, this is a very acceptable option for dinner, especialyl at the price.

We had made advance Reservations for this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews. However, we found ourselves wandering Spoleto's streets on the first day of our visit and pangs of hunger hit us. We came across a small outside tent on a side street, with white linens and decided to eat. We had a wonderful meal off their daily menu with an excellent and modest priced wine for about 30 euros per person. Great pasta with meat sauce and a wonderful salad and sweet dessert.
We had dinner here the follow night as planned and were treated like royalty. The meal was equally good although a little more expensive (about 40 euros pp)

Visiting Spoleto for one day only. Stumbled onto this restaurant by accident. It is quite small but really good ambiance once you are settled. Contrary to some other reviewers we found the welcome from the staff to be warm and friendly and helpful. Great choices on the menu and we shared a mixed assortment for our starter. House wine excellent and I had a local beer which was very good. It's busy but nothing is rushed and time to relax and just enjoy. Our starter was excellent with a vast array of lovely fresh hot and cold assorted local foods. Yummy. Main courses pasta for some and rice for others. Best pasta ever had in Italy and black rice also very good. Our son had a melting chocolate dessert which was excellent and the rest of us were to full after all the lovely food so we just had coffee. Thank you for one of the best meals we have ever had in our travels around Italy.

Do not ask for anything more than that can give you an inn, already what you get is the best of what we can give you.The tavern is the environment in which you can express your emotions, you can savor the flavors of the past, you can meet more people who do not meet you for a long time, you can also stay only ... if you want. There is a special day to decide to come to us, no matter if you're hungry or thirsty you, after all we're waiting to give you a smile, but also to get your.More than anything else, we are interested in the friendship that we create and the feelings that we try to give you.

We traveled to Spoleta today and stopped for lunch at this fabulous restaurant. When we arrived, we could see Francesca in the kitchen making homemade pasta noodles. We quickly learned that her and her husband, Fabio, own the restaurant. Their creations are magnificent!
Prior to our meal, Francesca brought out a little taste from the chef - a slice of prosciutto wrapped with Gorgonzola and mascarpone cheese inside - super great!
My husband ordered the soup of the day for an appetizer - a lentil, rice delight. I had the pasta with red sauce and Chile pepper - best flavor and not too spicy. My husband ordered the tagliatelle with boar sauce - yes! We decided to pass on dessert - so Francesca brought out a small heart tin filled with homemade cookies - wow!
We then got a pic of all of us together and got to personally thank them for this wonderful meal.
Our only regret was that we were traveling to another location and we couldn’t have dinner there, too.
