The crab soup is the best ever. So fresh and delicious I highly recommend. Very professional service, really top notch. The oysters were very fresh. The shrimp remoulade salad was small and bland. The sauce was too full of mayo and no kick. The only think that was off putting was the odor as you walk in the building. It is a really old building but it smelled like chitterlings or sewage..As you get into the dining area it was better. I know that sounds gross but the food was good.

- Welcome to Boudreaux's Cajun Grill - Locally owned and operated, with our passion for Louisiana cuisine, Boudreaux's proudly brings Cajun-inspired dishes, made from scratch, featuring premium Hand-cut Steaks, Fresh Gulf Seafood,Hormone-free Chicken & Fresh Local Produce in an enjoyable, relaxing environment... "Bon Temps from the Bayou!"
Being that it was Mardi Gras, we decided to go to dinner at Boudreaux's Cajun Grill. Baxter A., our server, was at our table almost immediately. He was friendly, efficient and personable. We ordered a cup of crab & spinach bisque and a cup of bayou gumbo, along with shrimp & grits and a side of corn macque choux. The food was really good. Since we had driven through New Orleans and had been unsuccessful when we tried to stop for beignets, we ordered them at Boudreaux's and, believe me, we were not disappointed. The total price was more than reasonable for an excellent dinner. Boudreaux's Cajun Grill had a great atmosphere and excellent food and service.

Drive through can slow service for those of us who go inside. Very good coffee drinks, standard Starbucks. Despite being busy, parking wasn't that bad

Opening its first location in Gulf Shores in 1983, the Original Oyster House restaurant quickly expanded and opened its second restaurant two years later on the Mobile Causeway. It soon became known as a Gulf Coast favorite for panoramic waterfront sunsets on the Mobile Delta, fresh Gulf Coast seafood and award-winning gumbo. Classics such as hand-battered fried crab claws, blackened Mahi and fire-grilled Gulf oysters kept locals and visitors coming back for more. A visit usually includes kids on the playground, seafood platters and Southern hospitality. Along with its take-out, homemade desserts and seafood gumbo, the Original Oyster House has been sending alligators home in kid's meals, and gives back to our community in sponsorships and donations. It has been recognized for its environmental practices including converting its fry oil into biofuel to transport, its solar water heaters and the only wind turbine on the Causeway, which generates electricity when winds reach 8 miles an hour or more. in 2016, the Original Oyster House piloted Alabama's FIRST Oyster Shell Recycling Program.
Best seafood on the bay and the alligator bites are always the best in town. Relaxed, family friendly casual dress atmosphere. If you go on a weekend be prepared to wait at least an hour, there is always a wait on the weekends.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice water view. We were given crackers and a bowl of coleslaw once seated. Poboy offering include standard oyster, soft sell crab, Fried shrimp or spicy shrimp. Fried seafood platters come with fries and hushpuppies. All sides can be substituted. We chose from Turnip greens, grits, Potatoes and steamed broccoli. The lunch special offered Monday through Wednesday includes fish almondine or Bienville with prices starting at 8 bucks. I pleasant surprise as we were passing through town.

When you combine fresh local seafood, live music, a casual atmosphere and cold beer you get "a Great Local Dive" that has been an authentic piece of Causeway history since 1958. At the BLUEGILL we offer more than just a commitment to fresh traditional seafood in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Stopped at the Bluegill Restaurant while visiting Orange Beach. It was a real treat. Old style seafood restaurant just off the bay. The food was excellent. Service was very good. We all ordered a different entree and we all very satisfied with the food. We...MoreThank you for stopping by our little seafood shack by the side of the road...where we have been preparing seafood for the Locals since 1958. We hope that you will stop by again when you visit this area.

You enter the restaurant and order by the door. Then find a place to seat yourself. When they call your number you get your food. We got BBQ and Fried Chicken and both were excellent. The sides were nice sized portions. The meal also comes with some cornbread. Glad we found this place!

My cousin said to try...and I did!! Ordered the fried oysters and a fried soft shell crab...both were very good..as were the hush puppies!! However, after I ordered it was mentioned that the restaurant closed in 15 minutes...but for me not to rush as they had plenty of cleaning to do. Had I known beforehand I would have gone elsewhere to enjoy my food at a more leisurely pace.

This restaurant has a great selection on the menu and I would say that everything I've ever ordered there is worthy of recommending to you....and I've been there 10 or more times. You'll love it, not just for the food, but for the genuinely friendly service you will receive. Go for it!
