How can it get better? You go for breakfast. Nothing but great stuff, with popovers, of course. AND you pay what you want with proceeds going to feed those in need. Probably my most expensive and rewarding breakfast ever. Why wouldn't you over contribute?

Locally owned Family Run Cafe and Ice Cream shop. 19 Years providing great homemade foods with fast friendly service
We stopped in on a cool, rainy afternoon to warm up with some soup and coffee. I had the chili and cornbread which was tasty and hearty. My spouse had the minestrone soup and enjoyed it. The coffee was a little weak to my liking.
Their cookies looked good and were huge! They also had ice cream and meal options. There was a small seating area and takeout as an option.

If you were to go to their website, you would see their specialized coffee offerings but you would see no prices made public. They want the Martha Stewarts as customers and will charge everybody else the same price. Not worth it and it's insulting.

Stopped on a whim. The ladies had fresh blueberry pies ready. We missed the triple berry pies which we were told were the best, but didn't thrill we'd be disappointed the the blueberry pie we planned on taking back to the cabin.
In the meantime we had whoopie pies on the spot. Had no idea these were the main Maine dessert.
I'm not saying these were life changing, but I have a whole new understanding of whoopie now. Do yourself a favor and make the drive over. Exactly the right balance of the cake not being too sweet but the cream filling being whipped perfection.
The blueberry pie was nearly the same experience. Not too sweet, but completely sweettooth satisfying. The crust was flaky and yummy on its own.
Whatever they're selling, I'm buying!

Eat, drink and be messy. A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is always a highlight - a restaurant that's on the water, with an atmosphere that's down to earth. At our working lobster pier in Southwest Harbor, Maine, you and your family will have a blast watching the boasts coming in and the lobstermen unloading their fresh catch. Hear the creak of rope on the moorings. Catch the scent of saltwater on the breeze and enjoy the waterfront view while chowing down on the freshest lobster you can eat. (Don't worry, the napkins are on us!)
The REAL DEAL of Maine seafood! If you are looking for a true Maine seafood experience look no further. Entering and joining the line to order is an experience in itself because not only will you have time to read the menu but you'll catch the banter of the folks who have already reached the cash register and are ordering. Also, the line allows you to watch the production in the kitchen as well as see the live lobsters plucked from the counter tanks. From there you walk out onto the deck, pick up your drinks and walk to the indoor picnic tables and wait the 10 minutes or so until the buzzer pad lights up and then go an retrieve your dinner. Food is FANTASTIC and the homey casualness is a charmer.

We stayed in Southwest Harbor for a week and went to Little Notch on 4-5 occasions for various reasons. We enjoyed the sticky buns and coffee for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and bread loaves to take back to the house for dinner. Really a great spot!

We are a year-round cafe focused on quality and affordable fare. We have both tasty and healthy choices! We serve a variety of traditional cafe foods and drinks, as well as many house and local specialties. You're welcome here. Stop on by! Bring friends and bring an appetite!
Small town sort of coffee shop, with a lot of patrons there when we went. Had some various pastries and the such available as well as the standard fare of coffee and other drinks. Both the latte my wife had and the coffee I had...MoreThanks so much for your review! We've only been open for 6 months, but we're trying very hard to keep high standards.

Who’d have thought this unassuming fronted restaurant houses a gem? But it does. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal – service attentive and complete, food delicious. Mussels in broth good to the last drop. Requested a spoon as I was hesitant to give up anyone drop of the delicious broth. Crispy polenta w/ mushrooms other starter ordered was also thoroughly enjoyed. Duck breast with jus and cranberry mango chutney. Perfectly prepared. Server recommended ribs to my friend, and altho they were tasty, not quite sure they thrilled. Dessert didn't disappoint either.

Stopped at Sips for lunch ! menu looked great and there was a nice atmosphere.
Very very disappointed. Our waitress took our order and then went behind the bar to make people sitting at the bar drinks. We were brought are drinks right away but during the next half hour noticed most of the people were still waiting for their food. After the half hour I noticed what looked like our order being placed on the counter. Still we waited our waitress was now chatting withe people at the bar. We watched as 2 other waitresses looked at our food and walked away. A customer also waiting got up and also looked at the order thinking it was his. 20 min later a woman I took to be the owner apologize for the wait. I informed her of where our food was. When she delivered the my risotto and my husband bisque had a skim on them and his cold grilled cheese. as she dropped them off she said if they were cold she would reheat them. Nice , I love paying for reheated food that now has the garnish stored in
