Our first visit to a Duck Donuts and lots of fun! You chose your donut (all “rings” and no stuffed), icing or not, toppings, drizzle, etc. then stand in line and watch your order prepared by the lineup of employees behind the counter (think Coldstone-ish). Lots of fun for the kids!

Choose from the highest quality of steamed, grilled, and fresh fried seafood on the Outer Banks, along with signature items like our baby back ribs, vegetarian black bean soup, and New York style cheesecake. Enjoy a seasonal cocktail at the bar, relax in our bright and airy indoor dining areas, or take in gorgeous ocean views from our outdoor deck.
We went to Steamers with a large group of friends after an evening Christmas event. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and seated promptly upstairs. The service was excellent, especially considering our group size. Everything served timely and hot. Black bean soup, bisque, excellent. Ribs, fish selections, outstanding. Try the fish tacos with Mahi mahi.
I had the pork chop, local, organic, all natural. It was outstanding.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner, or apps at the bar, which they offer discounted off season.

Just as noted in Our State magazine, the burger and fries were excellent. We were there on a quiet Friday afternoon, a little past the usual lunch hour and the service was great. The "fixin's" for the burger (lettuce, onion, etc) could have used a bit of an upgrade but it was still a delicious burger.

Stopped in with kids over Labor Day weekend. We were stuffed from dinner but the different flavor choices made us give it a try anyway. We have a similar froyo type place where we live, but this place had some unusual, interesting flavors and a lot more toppings options. Friendly service from who I assume was maybe the owner. Will return whenever we go back.

A quaint little coffee shop tucked away in the Dunes Shops mini strip mall, on the main OBX road. Very limited seating inside and a couple seats outside. They offer soups, salads, panini, wraps, sandwiches, breakfast items, smoothies, juices, speciality coffees and ice cream drinks. Rather pricey. A protein smoothie & muffin was $12.00.

Duck Donuts is a chain but it all began in Duck, NC (the shop's namesake). The donuts are hot and made-to-order. you might have a wait but it will be worth it. They have a bunch of toppings to choose from and I've tried most and they are all good.

Gourmet Market turned restaurant featuring fresh local seafood, steaks, crabcakes to die for, creative sandwiches of house roasted meats on fresh baked bread, and one of the best selection of oysters on the East Coast. Outside dinning in season, extensive wine selection and best prices too.
Have enjoyed many wonderful lunches with friends at CP, esp on Wed's when all oysters are 50% off!
This was our first time for dinner, but it will certainly not be our last! What a treat!
Thanks to our server Courtney's expertise, we received a great breakdown of the differences between the various oysters being offered that nite. We ended up getting a half dozen of three different kinds + a dozen more of one of our particular favorites.
We followed these up with two great entrees, a fresh grilled tuna that CP lightly seared to my spouse's special request ... and the scallop pasta entree that included 6 perfectly prepared sea scallops on top of a light, fettucine pasta with a light pesto cream sauce.
We also enjoyed a bottle of a wonderful wine we had had before: Fritz Muller Perlwein Muller-Thurgau Trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany for just $19.
Having had many of CP's great soups, we also took home a quart of the New England Clam Chowder.
A+ AROUND ... once again! We can't wait to return!!

TRiO is an exciting retail and tasting destination with both a gourmet retail wine, beer and cheese shop as well as a bistro with a wine bar and tap house.
So if you want a robust selection of beer, wines from reasonable to "a special anniversay or birthday treat", and a wonderful collection of cheeses, you should stop as well. There is a wine, beer, sandwich bar to fuel your trip to your beach, family home, or for the next leg of a longer trip. We heartily recommend Trio where you can find everything you need for a good time!

Great hot chai tea, absolutely delicious! We were there late in the day, not too many customers and the two staff members were so busy, working so hard cleaning, straightening up all the items, stocking, quick to greet any customer who came through the door. I was so impressed to see these two working with such passion, the young man there was named David, I asked him if he owned the place! The young lady was the shift manager. I would absolutely hire these two if I had my own business!

Authentic. Simple. Delicious. High Cotton Barbeque has been well-known on the Outer Banks for over 10 years for their Eastern North Carolina Style Barbeque, Famous Fried or Slow Smoked Juicy Chicken, Melt in Your Mouth Ribs and Texas-style Beef Brisket. As Tarheel natives we want to share the flavors and aromas unique to Eastern North Carolina Barbeque. Consistent temperatures and long hours of smoking with hickory coals produce the characteristic pink coloring and sweet outside brown meat of our famous pork barbeque. Combined with our traditional side dishes and a glass of sweet tea and you're in High Cotton, Outer Banks Barbeque at its very best.
My Family and I have been coming to High Cotton for 10 years! Every time we go in the owner remembers us. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. There is an option for every member of your party — from salads to classic Carolina BBQ. The service is very friendly and quick. Even is there is a wait, don’t hesitate because it moves quickly and the food is worth it. Can’t wait to go back again!
