Spicing up the Long Island waterfont, RUMBA is a special dining spot serving up a unique combination of Island-inspired food, premium handcrafted rum libations, happy staffers, reggae + a low-key vibe…all on the Shinnecock Bay (accessible by boat).
We stopped here while on our way home from Birding and everything was outstanding. We would definitely return. Very friendly staff, delicious food and drinks - what more can you want! Tacos were outstanding and loved that you could try different ones. Shrimp and fish were excellent as were the plantains and the coconut Risotto - unique coconut dish. The only thing that was a bit weird was in the menu it says you can “buy the staff a round” if you’re happy with the service.... do they really want drunk staff? Lol

The place was very busy on a Thursday evening. Always a good sign. Plenty of locals too. The view must be beautiful by day. We found it a little dark and orange. That said, the service was friendly and prompt. Orders taken and bread delivered...MoreI'm so glad to see that you had such a lovely meal, Hilary. From the food to the service, I truly enjoyed reading about your experience, and here's to hopefully having you back again real soon! All the best, John

Whether you are chasing the summer sun or wishing for a warm winter meal, Cowfish is here for you every season. This stylish spot with rustic furnishings pairs steaks, seafood, and sushi with canal views from patio tables. Plenty of boat docking, with catering available.
On our recent visit to the area we wanted dinner in a low key seafood place with good food. We hit a home run here! The place is tucked away on the water and in back of some other buildings so we walked into another place by mistake before finding Cowfish. It was dark so I’m guessing this wouldn’t be a problem in the daytime. The waitstaff was super friendly and helpful. We both ordered the diver scallops. After placing our order the manager came to our table and informed us that they had purchased fresh bay scallops and they were substituting the diver scallops for the local bay scallops. We were very pleasantly surprised. These scallops were tiny and oh so sweet. Truly, they were outstanding. Everything about the dinner was wonderful from start to finish. A perfect choice on a dark late November night.

Once again, we really enjoyed our luncheon buffet. All-you-can-eat for just $15.00 until 3:00 P.M. only. The selected entrees have changed, as they occasionally do. The corn soup and fresh, hot, light, fluffy pita bread were both great. The Indian cuisine here is mildly spiced - not too spicy, just right. The chicken, potatoes/onions, green sauce, yellow sauce, etc. were all delicious. The drinks were very good. The service is impeccable. The ambience here is very lovely. There is plenty of free parking. We strongly suggest that you check it out!

what an excellent lunch experience that we had today at the Canal Cafe. Missy our waitress was so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. We ordered the butternut squash soup which was thick and delicious. Then we both ordered three flank steak tacos in a homemade corn tortilla shell with the fixings and a nicer touch of cilantro. You get 3 nicely filed tacos with a side of black beans....delicious. We also had a side of fries.....nice and crunchy.

We visited The Plaza Cafe after spending a great beach day at one of our favorite beaches anywhere Coopers. The food is fantastic. We started with the Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata and The Wild Pacific Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp. For entrees we had The Grilled Lobster and Tempura Shrimp over an Asian Slaw. For dessert we had the Grilled Peach Melba. All were absolutely amazing. I think it was our best meal ever. Great service and nice atmosphere as well! Definite must when visiting South Hampton.

Charming dining room in a lovely setting.
Ideal way to start the day. Price fix breakfast while a tad costly is in the end something I would come back for again. Hot coffee, fresh squeezed juice or other starters put you in the right frame of mind to enjoy when I can only term an artisan selection of breakfast favorites prepared to order.
Charming, delightful, and certainly worthy of a return trip.

If you love Italian Food and you are in Southampton head over to La Parmigiana. The food is always the best and the pizza is top-notch. The place is not fancy and very casual which makes it simply and easy.

We were a table of 5 and sat in the Alley beautifully set with greenery and white tablecloths.
The overall service was mixed. The pace was slow, we were there about one hour 45 min. Although several individuals tended to us, our waiter was fine, not overly excited or interested. Our sommelier tried to upsell us twice and tried to impress us with who he knew.
The food was very good, although expensive. Our bill was over $600 and that was with $80 bottle of wine and one cocktail, no dessert. Memorable dishes: la burrata, grilled octopus, the pastas, and branzino.
If money is no object, you’re not in a rush, and you want to be “seen” this place is for you.

We arrived without a booking & were fortunate to be seated without delay. Our waitress for the evening was Christine who was truly delightful. The set menu was good value & interesting but because it included a bottle of wine, we decided against it because I was driving. We chose instead from the a la caret & we were rewarded with two fabulous meals. The menu is extensive & the choices varied. Christine attended to our every need & she was attentive throughout. We did see & speak to other members of staff who were equally charming. I did have one glass of a craft beer which I had not heard of before & it was more out of curiosity than a need. The name of it was 'Radiant pig save the robots IPA'. It measured up to the excellence of the rest of the fare. A good night, a lovely meal & a memorable experience.
