Classic French Bistro
We attended a wedding in Somerset,NJ, took a 15 minute drive to Sophie's Bistro and have been talking about it ever since. Delightful experience, from the atmosphere to the service to the quality and taste of the food.
Mussels appetizer was plentiful and tasty and my husband had escargot. We both had the special beef tenderloins, but we could have split one dinner due to portion size.
Restaurant owner visited each table, genuinely interested in how customers were enjoying their meal.
Although we did not sit at the bar, we noted it was great, seems some locals met their on a regular basis. Wine list had some very nice choices at reasonable prices.
Although the restaurant was full, it was not too noisy, due to its two rooms and limited number of tables.
We will definitely recommend this restaurant and dine here when in the area again.

Tastee’s subs are one of a kind their ingredients and fresh sub rolls are delicious. Great sub for game day or a picnic or just last minute choice on a Sunday night. If you’re looking for a great sub that is unique to the area pick Tastee’s!

Excellent Greek BYOB restaurant with limited off-street parking. Cheerful decor with blue and white checkered tablecloths. Nice selection of authentic and tasty Greek dishes on menu. Nearby liquor store that sells Greek wine. Very good service. Fair and competitive prices. We went there with another couple to give them an introduction to Greek food in advance of a trip to Greece. We went without reservations for a late lunch, but the place was filling up as we left, so reservations are probably a good idea.

Great ice cream shop right on the Rutgers campus. First off you can sample as much as you want. They are not tiny samples either. So many to choose from and all homemade. I sampled three before choosing the toasted coconut ice cream. Wonderfully delicious and oh so tasty. They offer more than just scoops of ice cream. Enjoy!

This quaint small town ice cream parlor is fantastic. They not only have terrific tasting ice cream, they support local events for the schools Milltown children attend & they employee local high school students & the owner, Joan, couldn't possibly be nicer.
They even have a special price for young children who fit under counter height!!
If you try this place, I'm sure you'll like it. The only bad thing can be the wait because they're so popular.

This restaurant is far better than many other restaurants in the area. It would have been five (5) stars but there was limited handicap parking when it was extremely cold outside. I had to park halfway done the strip mall to get one of the only parking spots (handicapped or otherwise). There is simply not enough parking for the volume of patrons.
The atmosphere is simply elegant and totally professional. The waiter was very attentive and considerate to our needs. This restaurant is BYOB since they don't have a liquor license, which is hard to believe since it's an primo restaurant.
The Cesar salad was ginormous and tasty. The seafood specials were divine. They were seasoned extremely perfectly and each dish exhibited a well balance of flavor.
The desserts were the outstanding as well. The coffee was not to my liking even though I am a coffee drinker. This is one area of improvement.
This restaurant gets two thumbs up despite the shortfalls. Hopefully, change can be made so that we can return soon.

Decor: With a nod to owner's heritage, it's whimsical, with authentic plates, puppets, etc. on the walls. Rustic. Bit tight, but we four were comfortable at our table.
Menu: Covers all the bases - pasta, fowl, shell/fish, lamb, beef/veal. Specials, too. Several salads, and two sizes of appetizers. BYOB.
Service: Friendly and attentive.
Quality: Excellent! Incredibly tasty entrees, as well as pancetta caesar salad. Lovely homemade breads (including focaccia, garlic knots) served warm from an earthenware breadbox. Sun-dried tomato paste in EVOO for the bread. Our table enjoyed entrees of Luca (shellfish/pasta), cannelloni and (chicken) marsala arosto.
Value: Very good based upon all of the above, and accounting for nice portion sizes.
We have been back a few times over many years, and have never been disappointed. The fig appetizer is a favorite. Make reservations ahead enough, especially for a Friday or Saturday night. A more scenic/special location and/or decor would take this into "5-star" rating territory. Regardless, we will be back!

Steakhouse 85 is a 21st century rendition of the classic American Steakhouse. The menu at Steakhouse 85 is comprised of fresh and inspiring modern day interpretations of classic American cuisine, served alongside the traditional steakhouse classics we all know and love. The back bone of our menu is without a doubt our beef. Our mouth watering dry aged steaks are rubbed with a simple yet luscious combination of sea salt, black pepper and fresh herbs. They are seared on a 1200 degree cast iron grill and then broiled to your liking. Paired with a large classically designed bar, complete with savvy cocktails and a Wine Spectator award winning wine list, this steakhouse is sure to please.
Great dinner! The service was wonderful and the steak was terrific! My son had the tomahawk for his birthday which was huge and delicious! It is expensive!
