Tucked away in the (very) small town of Chemuyil (only a few minutes south of Akumal) is the family-owned La Palapa restaurant.
If your thing is fresh seafood then the brother and sister team are going to blow your palate away! Nothing short of extraordinary.
Fresh lobster, langostine and fish are the order of the day.
Be aware that the popularity of this restaurant means that you may have wait your turn.

Azafran is by far my favorite breakfast spot in Tulum. I love the staff, the garden is perfectly picturesque, the food is delicious and prices are awesome. My go to is their hangover special, with an extra side of the homemade bread and marmalade. I've been here many times and have always had a wonderful experience, I even left my purse once and the waitresses were kind enough to keep it until I was able to return and pick it up. All family and friends I've taken here have loved it just as much! Now with free wifi if you need

Ginger is now a hotel and the restaurant has reopened, serving breakfast and lunch to hotel guests and to the public. The menu is new and features delicious recipes by Javier.
My partner and I have been huge fans of the restaurant for years and as soon as we found out it had reopened as a hotel and restaurant we booked a romantic break. The rooms are very reasonably priced and although the food in the...MoreThank you! We loved having you at the hotel =)

I like ice cream of Panna e Cioccolato but the cone of Artehelado($5mxn additional fee) is more crispy.
Panna e Cioccolato : 1 scoop $35, 2 scoops $65
Artehelado: 1 scoop $38(+5 for cone), 2 scoop $60
As for flavor, I prefer lighter flavor(less sugar) like Bounty flavor(coco+ chocolate) of Panna e Cioccolato.

We ate there almost every evening. The owner is from Italy and their homemade pastas are matchless. The seafood is fresh and delicious. A number of delectable appetizers such as the eggplant. The flan is perfecto. Wonderful, friendly staff and relaxing, elegant ambiance.

Blue Sky Restaurant is located in Blue sky hotel in Tankah Bay, Riviera Maya. It operates with a separate licence and to the public. Not only for hotel gueststs but open for the public.
My family has been coming to Tankah Bay for many years through many crises and many different managers. I will say the food was very good, the fish tacos excellent, and the setting quite nice. Unfortunately, when we went back to pick up one of their brick oven pizzas, also excellent, we got the run-around scam about no non-hotel guests not using credit cards. When my husband pointed out that we hadn't been guests the night before and had used our credit card, they buckled. I don't mind folks trying to make a little extra if they need it, but when you lie to people you have already served it is difficult to be kind in return. I like the place. I know life is hard there. I want to go back. Please work on this issue.

LA PARRILLADA is a nice place, Is far to the confusion of the main street where you can eat in the garden or in its roomy interior with capacity for more than sixty people. We stayed in Tulum 3 days and ate here 2 evenings. It is often hard to find real vegetable based Vegan food vs just noodles with a few shreads of vegetables kind of thing. This place is quite a relaxed place. We are in our 60's and felt a little on the old end of the age scale here, but we loved their food. Everything we ordered was very good, and full of vegetables as we were looking for. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're a vegan eating in Tulum
