ON the road. 107 outside. Stopped for a lunch. Service very quick and food came very quickly. We got 2 Gilroy chicken sandwiches with grilled onions, garlic and cheese. Chicken with great caramelized taste but not dry. Lemon meringue homemade pie for dessert. Total with 2 teas $33.78
Easy on and off freeway. In the same building as a hotel.

We love hiking in Pinnacles National Park have passed La Plaza Bakery dozens of times...much to our loss.
The tortas were remarkable in large part to the magnificent bread from the bakery. Each sandwich came with precisely the ingredients requested.
Oh, and the breadth of selection of delicious bakery items had all of us drooling and buying more than we should have...but since we were going hiking, we convinced ourselves it was not a problem.
La Plaza is now a required stop when in the Salinas Valley!

Pit stop. What more can I say? It's a Starbucks for god's sake. I have to write more cause they're making me.

As much as I love the Plaza Bakery, I love buying bread here instead mainly because they don't skimp on the filling here. I love these bread called "Elotes" which means corn in English. I think they are named that way do to the shape of the bread and the lines made on the bread look like kernels of corn. They have a cinnamon like taste and are topped with sugar. Inside they are filled with pineapple. So yummy! The bread here is ALWAYS so moist and soft. I have never tried their cakes, but would like to in the future. Price is pretty good too.

We walked in at 8:05PM not realizing they closed at 8PM (on a Sunday). She still allowed us to come in and order dinner. We all ordered super enchiladas and I really enjoyed mine. My fellow diners thought it was average. Average prices, but I was sad that rice and beans and such were not included with the entrees.

The service from co-owner Sergio was absolutely wonderful. The portions of the food and drink were extremely large. The enchiladas were good and 2 a la carte cheese enchiladas were more than enough for me. My wife ordered vegetarian fajitas and that portion was huge and we ended up taking two thirds of that back. The salsa has a mild spice to it which we liked. The guacamole was bland. The staff was able to tell us that their cooking oil was vegetarian but they cook a lot of seafood in it as well.

Located off Hwy 101 (El Camino Real) in Soledad, CA
This little place is simply amazing! The service was very friendly and attentive! The food portions were very large and the price was very inexpensive! This restaurant had a great selection of food as well as many different types of beverages. The food tasted so good and was very authentic and fresh made tortillas! This place is a must try!

This a a great place to stop along 101. Their specialties are seafood, but my chicken enchiladas off of the lunch menu ($7.95) were fantastic, and it was a large amount of food.
My partner ordered menudo and was very pleased.
Definitely worth the stop-- Just off of 101 near Denny's. (Yuck)

Our family and I have have been here several times, and the food is to die for! The waitress, Alejandra (younger girl with tattoos) is very friendly and polite. And never forgets anything. The cook is very nice and is the reason we come. She cooks up some really good food! The owner on the other hand, needs an attitude adjustment. It would be nice if she were not there. She is rude and always seems to be mad. She hovers over the cook and rushes her while she looks at the order tags and then peers down on her again. Even hearing her over the phone is upsetting. She is not nice to customers unless they are related and in good standing with her. Even some of her relatives refuse to go there just because of her attitude. I really wish she would take more days off. Maybe we/others would come in more often. What a shame! It's a small town with only a few good restaurants, and you would think, she would be a lot nicer to those who choose hers!

My rating is in the context of this genre of pizza place. It is not the best pizza I ever had but with low expectations in the middle of the valley we were pleasantly surprised. Pizza was fresh made with good ingredients. Service was friendly. And if you happen to want to play some games or watch a sporting event on TV it had that too.
