this chimichanga seems to want to be an enchilada--never seen one as small and unenthusiastic as this. Usually at Mexican restaurants I order a combo or a la carte as an attempt to stay away from rice and beans, but this time it didn't work--the people who got a full meal (loads of rice and beans) did better.

When in Smithville I'd highly suggest stopping by this local gem. The donuts were all made fresh on very good. It's easy to miss this place the signage isn't great.

Went to Smithville, TN for a weekend vacation. NOTHING is there. Caney Fork River is nice. Beautiful scenery. BUT, The White Possum (the only restaurant)....first of all it was 92 degrees outside and 80 inside this sweat shop. You don't need to worry about getting cold food due to the ambient temp inside the restaurant. The food was delicious if you don't mind eating in your underwear or mankini. It's as fancy as 30 yr old trailer park that has a broken lawn mower. Regardless of the scorching heat that would cause Satan to ask for a glass of water the food was really good. Also, they asked that we make reservations, not sure why.....

The $5.00 menu at Dairy Queen is the best. Not only do you get the meat (I had chicken strips), but fries, drink, and a small Sundae.

Friendly place serves decent Chinese food fast and cheap. Not the best Chinese food but definitely the best in the area. And if you need a break from all the heavy food typically found in Tennessee this is a good choice

We come here regularly with friends. The beer is cold, the chips are crisp, and the salsa is fresh. The tamales are very good. The burritos can be stuffed with whatever you want which is great for the wanna be vegetarians and meat eaters. This is a family establishment and they make us feel welcome when we come in. They are usually busy but there always seems to be a table.

Brought our son and his wife and 5 kids here for breakfast as they headed back to AR after a good weekend enjoying the 2017 eclipse. We ordered a variety of eggs cooked various ways, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, French toast, toast and coffee. All the food and drinks were very good. Even though there were just 2 people working, the service was fast and our drinks were kept full. It is definitely a local favorite. I'm sure we will be back.

Out on Centerhill Lake in our boat with good friends. Had not been here in about a year and interested in checking out their new menu. As vegetarians it is never easy to eat out in local spots but you can usually find only one choice other than a salad (and one of us cannot eat pasta). Fish Lipz came through. Good veggieburger. One of my friends was still talking about his fish tacos the next day. Bar with a limited beer selection due to only being open on weekends. Good boat docking with new rubber stipping. At night they have bands and it appears to be a place that rocks.

Popular small town cafe that, to my knowledge, does not have a printed menu. A hand written chalkboard by the entrance says it all. My lunch today was Salmon Croquettes, maybe the first time with no sauce, California casserole, hideous to view but tasted ok, slaw, iced tea and a wonderful Tropical Cake. Dessert saved the day. A large party arrived and service was affected adversely, but that happens. A return visit is not likely, but if it happened dessert would be my selection.
