The Church Restaurant is located in the heart of Skibbereen Town in West Cork, it was originally a Methodist Church from 1833 to 2003. Steeped in history and character with lovely stained glass windows and high wooden ceilings, The Church Restaurant is open 7 days a week serving a variety of locally sourced produce. All beef & meat served in this restaurant is of Irish origin and purchased in the local butcher shop. Fresh fish comes from the local shores of Union Hall and vegetables are purchased daily for local suppliers.
One of several visits here but first for a lunch menu as we usually go in the evening. The choice was great as usual and we both went for Baked Hake with a herb crust with mashed spud and veg. It was delicious! Portion size was good - we were unable to fit a dessert in. We enjoyed a good quality house red and the service was great! Atmosphere was fab and we left the restaurant happy and full. Cheers!

Visited the Riverside recently for a take away lunch. Really lovely. Had the goats cheese and roast veg crust with homemade soup. Delicious and reasonably priced especially if your a solo traveller. Next time will visit for a full lunch. Had a look at the menu lots of local produce there and a great wine list available.

This is a pub which doubles as a proper restaurant rather than offering pub-food. The food was excellent: straight-forward, genuine Irish cuisine made from fresh local produce and seafood, well prepared. The service is quick and efficient, as usual in Ireland. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed.
An excellent place, a little bit off the beaten track if visiting Baltimore but well worth a visit.

Went her first about eight. O this ago and it was excellent! Good service but most importantly excellent food. Red caggabe to die for, excellent garlic potatoes, wonderful vegetables and interesting meats-stuffed chicken etc. Been there a few times since and every time it seems to have gone downhill more....mashed potatoes lacking in taste, over roasted potatoes, and even today the vegetables looked like they were instant and frozen! No real taste to anything on the plate. Really sorry to see what was good go downhill so quickly! Woman behind the counter just slashed the potatoes on top of everything-a short lesson there would not go amiss!

We popped into Apple Betty's on a visit to West Cork and just loved it. We had basic stuff with just soup and sambos and it was gorgeous. Really lovely staff and very helpful . Spotlessly clean and one thing that I really thought was nice was a notice/poem in the loo about mental health and to speak about things. In this day and age it's good to see a small business doing this. A really lovely cafe

Mary Ann's is a well established bar and restaurant in the beautiful village of Castletownshend. The current owners, Fergus and Patricia O'Mahony, are at Mary Ann's since 1983. We serve lunch and dinner every day from March to November and then November to March Wednesday to Sunday lunch and dinner. We have a restaurant overlooking the sea upstairs dining in our old fashioned bar downstairs and in season in our walled garden and vine room. We sell modern Irish and European cuisine and add some Asian Fusion dishes. We have a comprehensive wine list and an art gallery upstairs selling Irish and international modern art. We have won many awards for our food and are featured in over 40 guides worldwide.
After driving all day, The Castle recommended Mary Ann's for dinner. This quaint pub was friendly and the service was very good. Our meals were quite good, hot and tasty. The food was served right away. We all had seafood and would recommend that.

Friendly family cafe. Homemade cakes, freshly ground coffee from only €1.00 Euro. Full Irish breakfast served all day. Selection of different breakfasts, including French toast, poached and scrambled eggs and crepes. Freshly made to order thick cut sandwiches, toasties, paninis, baguettes. Homemade soups, and special of the day. Evening meals prepared for holiday makers. Outside catering and special occasion cakes available.
Despite an expensive Gaggia machine and what one is lead to believe are Lavazza beans my latte was terrible. Bottom line is that the staff need to go to a barista course.
They were out of some menu options because they were busy the day before, that would suggest not everything is freshly prepared.
The food was bordering but not quite ok.
The experience was topped off by other patrons playing videos of their previous night out loudly, without intervention from the staff.
Needs a good clean too.

My husband and I started coming to Leslie's a few months back and now we make it a family treat every now and again. The chips are huge and nice while the portion is too big for me my husband loves it. Chicken fillet burger is really good and our son enjoys his chicken nuggets. We've tried other fast food places so we can say food at Leslie's is always much better. Recommended.
