Went here recently on a busy Saturday night. Had a party of six and waited about 40 minutes...not too bad considering!
The server was extremely friendly and attentive. She welcomed us as new customers and took good care of refills and filling our empty plates and glasses.
The food took awhile to arrive, but they were busy. We ordered the Onion Rings for an appetizer and were not disappointed. They were very good and crunchy. The basket of dinner rolls was served hot from the oven with a side of cinnamon butter...they were great! I ordered the NY Strip (12 oz.) medium and it was cooked to medium well instead...almost no pink! The loaded baked potato was a good size.
My wife ordered the chicken strips and fries. They were hand battered, huge and delicious! They also have a pretty good salad bar.

The coffee shop was very clean very safe and well lit. I can think of no reason not to return to this establishment. The coffee was good the service was great and the location was very convenient for those traveling on I-65 in Kentucky. Good...MoreThank you for the great review, we appreciate your business and wish to see you again soon.

Everything is fresh and tasty. Be forewarned, though don't accept credit/debit cards. I was $2 or $3 short while buying a few dozen one morning and the owner paid the balance for me out of her own pocket! Really great experiences here for years!
Awesome apple fritters!

There's nothing really special about this one. I go there a couple of time whenever I come down. Mostly, it's pretty average service but, the last couple of nights I've gone it doesn't seem like they are properly staffed. (Waited forever for my food and the banana split I got was just about to start melting)
However, if you go during the day and go inside it's generally good, friendly service.
It's Dairy Queen, it's good ice cream.

El Nopal will definitely satisfy your desire for Mexican cuisine. It is just west of I-65 and there is easy access on & off of the Interstate. El Nopal has a large parking lot, that also has easy access in to and out of onto the street. The staff is friendly and pretty efficient. We ordered two fish tacos and two ground beef tacos, just because we were eating light and they actually were pretty substantial. The prices are reasonable. And the tacos tasted great. There are enough TVs to satisfy any sports fan.

Normally I love eating at Cracker Barrel. This one in Shepherdsville definitely the worst experience we had.
After our previous good experience of the Friday fish fries we had in VA Beach previously, we once again ordered the Friday fish fries special in this location.
We had to wait for a very long time for our food. The table next to us place their order the same time we place our order. They finished their food before we finally received our food. The waitress told us she would bring us the corn bread and biscuits, and she forgot that totally and until 30 minutes later, we asked about it, and they finally bring the bread. When we finally get the fish, the fish is the most tough and dry fish we ever tasted. It seems to us they were sitting under the heat bar for a long time, and finally it was totally dried up. Even the turnip green was actually chewy and tough. We asked for water, and the waitress never brought it.
After driving all day, we were too tired to complaint about it. I hope my next visit to a different Cracker Barrel will have better experience.

We decided on El Tarasco Mexican Restaurant because we had a craving for Mexican food. El Tarasco is located in a medium-sized strip mall where there are a lot of other choices. There is plenty of parking in the lot. We were seated quickly. We decided on fish and ground beef tacos, along with a pretty big margarita. They really do make them big. Needless to say, I was stuck being the designated driver. The tacos were good, the staff was efficient and the prices were reasonable.

I remember when there were Big Boy restaurants in the Chicago area and as a treat we would go for dinner there on the weekends. Big Boy restaurants are a rarity now, especially in Illinois, so when we saw Frisch's Big Boy in Shepherdsville, we knew that we had to stop. We were seated quickly, though it was a busy Saturday late afternoon. Our server, Jordan C., was there quickly and once she took our order, she remained attentive to us, though she did seem to be busy. We ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich with tater tots and a meat loaf sandwich with mac & cheese. No, we didn't order the signature Big Boy burger. Both sandwiches were very good. The prices were quite reasonable.

Classic throwback diner in design and usual Denny's menu. Very fast service and the waitresses helped each other as much as I've seen in any restaurant- made for a quick and yummy meal. Nothing fancy here but definitely will get your fill. Would have given a better review but the Men's bathroom urine aroma was nothing short of a neglected truck stop urinal.

Had the buffet for my Mom's 79th birthday (it's what she wanted). There was salad, pastas, sauces, and of course pizza. Everything I had was good. The dessert pizza was very good. It was almost $30 for 3 people, so if you don't eat much it might not be worth it to you. Will go again.
