Alaska Pete's is a local favorite restaurant. We specialize in a great dining atmosphere, service and above all excellent food quality. Serving lunch and dinner, we are a casual and highly recommended restaurant. Full bar service, lots of televisions at the bar area to see your favorite sports.
Followed a local gent's recommendation to dine here. Able to sit where desired to watch football on TV on a Sunday early afternoon. Large menu with BBQ specials menu also. Wife started with chili and I had crab soup, both very good. Wife's entree of pulled pork very good, enough to take some home for later. I had brisket and topped it off with half rack of ribs for a reduced fee. Brisket was tender, cut with a fork, ribs slightly overcooked, dry. Both served with a skimpy amount of bbq sauce-use to a choice of sauces at the table at other BBQ joints. Our server was great! Will definitely return when back in the area. Nice atmosphere with nifty antiques.

We visited on Saturday night of Labor Day Weekend and ordered take out for a party of 13. We ordered a variety of entrees, 2 orders of steamed dumpling appetizers, and 3 orders of the special coconut milk rice with mango dessert. Everything was fabulous. My immediate family had the phad thai and 3 different curry dishes. I really cannot say which was my favorite because they were all delicious. Dessert was very satisfying - just the right amount of sweetness and richness. We will definitely return next time we are in the area!

We usually like to avoid the chain places when traveling and always look for a local spot. This was a great find! Nothing fancy, lots of character, good food and friendly, good service!

My husband and I are vegans so eating on the road is never easy. We found this restaurant by chance and was pleasantly surprised. They had a Black Bean and Polenta Burger on the menu which was gold for us! It is convienently located off the highway and the town is so cute. If you are hungry when travelling on I 81W be sure to stop in!

We stopped at Sweet Creams Cafe for ice cream, at the recommendation of the ice cream maker's Mother-in-law! (we met her at another establishment.) The ice cream is made on-site; and it is DELICIOUS! We are "ice cream snobs", so our endorsement can be taken seriously. The offerings include some unusual flavors along with traditional vanilla and chocolate. The Aztec Chocolate was a real treat, with a lovely cinnamon flavor. The cafe offers several coffee drinks, as well as sandwiches, hummus plates, and more. We hope to visit again!

My family and I went rafting and needed to grab lunch while on the river. I was a rush so I ran across the street to VFB. I kept it simple and ordered 6 pulled pork sandwiches-the service was very quick and the pulled pork was AWESOME!

We stayed in Bartonsville. This restaurant is like 15 mins drive away. But this was a good decision to try this restaurant. Waitress Maria was very attentive and explained the dishes and ingredients well. She recommended appetizers and Peruvian juice to us which were excellent choices.
The restaurant is small but comfortable enough for 4 of us to sit. All the food from this restaurant was fresh and tasted good. If you come to the area and want to try Peruvian food. This is a good choice.
We also chatted with the owner a bit after I saw so many Machu Pichu pictures on the wall. Those pictures were customers who had visited Peru and came back to restaurant to post on the walls. Nice.

Hubby and I stopped at Cafe Duet for late breakfast after the local organic food store recommended it. We were beyond pleased.
This is a cute, quaint cafe oozing personality, with funky, eclectic decor. The restaurant utilizes the bottom half of an old home in the historic heart of Stroudsburg, overlooking the veterans memorial. The back yard and patio dining areas were lush with local flora and potted blooms.
There is no wait staff. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table when ready.
You can order any item on the menu all day, except for one particular breakfast. We, of course, were in the mood for that breakfast. The situation worked out well, in that we tried something we wouldn't have otherwise considered - an egg bake @ $7.75, which came with two slices of toasted, Italian style bread. This organic egg concoction was just amazing - sizzling hot tomato sauce, melted mozzarella cheese and fresh basil all blended in a soup bowl, with the eggs baked into the mix. I could have eaten two helpings!
We ordered the typical coffee and tea, but the drink menu is extensive. Our total bill before tip was $20. I wish Cafe Duet would move to my town.

North 9th Street Restaurant offers lunch, dinner, pizza, and dessert. Everything is homemade and we use the finest ingredients. Our goal is to provide our customers a good experience each and every time! From pizza and sandwiches to wraps and salads, we have something to satisfy every appetite! Best of all we only buy local produce and foods to ensure its freshness. We make most of our sauces, pastries, desserts, entrees, and special foods from scratch.
This is another in a occasional stop at the N. 9th St. restaurant for some wonderful food. As it turned out we all ordered Italian this time. Two of my dinner companions ordered the chicken marsala. I went with the special shrimp Diablo which was nicely spiced with a large number of large shrimp. The noodles need is a little bit of salt for my taste but I can understand them not including it for others. I added a little salt to the dish and it rounded things out nicely. The last order of the four was another special which was chicken Murphy that was chicken and peppers and onions over pasta which was nicely seasoned and very tasty. Of course we rounded out the meal with bananas Foster and pistachio cake which are personal favorites and they did not disappoint.
And someone that we brought with us, which is always a nice option, and it was a great dinner with great service and a nice cozy restaurant.

Just visiting the area and decided to try this place for Breakfast based on all the favorable reviews.
Breakfast menu was quite extensive including eggs benedict several different ways.
My omelette covered have the large plate while the huge portion of home fries covered the other half. You definitely won't leave hungry. Both were very good.
Prices are very reasonable considering the size portions and quality of the food.
My server, BilliJo, was friendly, helpful, attentive and just a delight.
Dining rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained.
I would definitely return if back in the area.
