Since 1969 Blue Ash Chili's premium chili has been made with the same family recipe using only top-quality ingredients. It's not too spicy and served Cincy-style: cheese coneys, 3-, 4-, 5- and even 6-ways. Our restaurants have the feel of a small town diner and the dining room and carryout line are always packed with regulars. In 2010, Blue Ash Chili was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-in, & Dives on the Food Network
Stopped here for lunch on a late Wednesday morning - the lot was already close to capacity, but we found a spot and were able to snag a booth when we entered the diner. ordered a cheese coney, slaw dog, and some jalapeno caps. Compared to the more common Skyline cheese coney, the chili was thicker with a more complex flavor and not a as sweet - we liked it a lot, but there was less cheese piled on top and the bun was a little stale, so overall kind of a wash. Something you won't see at Skyline though is a slaw dog - this one, even with the slightly stale bun, was pretty good with a generous helping of creamy slaw piled on. The slaw dog was the perfect accompaniment to the jalapeno caps - sliced jalapenos dipped in batter and deep fried to hot, crispy perfection and served with a very nice dipping sauce - these were fantastic! we'll be back for more of them and to start working down the extensive list of double deckers on the menu.

The Root Beer Stand has been a close-knit family operation from day one and remains so today. As a matter of fact, both of our main cooks met the men they married while working at The Stand. They were carhops back in the 60's, and still enjoy the fast-paced work. And the root beer.
I like to think of myself as a risk taker. Sky diving (indoors) white water rafting, & driving many miles on low tire pressure without my GPS to try this place. Unfortunately, as I should have remembered after dislocating my shoulder when indoor skydiving, not all risks come with rewards.
I suppose there's something to be said for novelty, but it's 2017 & a cash only policy is beyond absurd. The food is also a bit below extraordinary. It's certainly affordable if you have kids, a car, an empty stomach & a close to empty wallet, but if you can swing a better option & can live without the nostalgia, I'd say look elsewhere. It's also seasonal & offers very limited seating.

Our Niece and Nephew took us to this Gem of a restaurant in North Cincinnati, OH. We had reservation, recommended, and sat in the patio view room. The Grand Finale is set in an Older 1853 House. Beautiful decor and excellent wait staff. The Buffett was expertly done and very tasty. Great way to Start Your Sunday!

My wife and I went there with another couple. We had great meals, but they were a little hard to describe, since they were middle Eastern cuisine. Our appetizer were deep fried ground beef with a sauce. I had rice with beef. The hot sauce was pretty hot, but I added the yoghurt sauce and it was delicious. My wife had different types of meat over a bed of rice. Everything was excellent except for the carrot cake which was good, but not great.

The name does not do the Brown Dog Cafe justice. Beautifully decorated with a nice bar area and outdoor seating facing the park, this is an upscale restaurant with a menu offering exotic entrees. Located in a park that used to be a Regional Airport, The Brown Dog is situated next a skating rink and a large park area. With offerings like Rabbit Pot Pie, Salmon, Scallops, Wild Boar, and Roast Duck, there are plenty of options in addition to Burgers and salads. I had the Mahi-Mahi special, served over seasoned grits that had a kick to them. The meal was filling and tasty. They specialize in a large beer menu including many local brews. I was there in January, but imagine this would be a great place to hang out in the summertime. The entrees can be pricy $28-$30, but the food and atmosphere make it worthwhile.

I love Indian food and have tried a few Indian restaurants around the town of Cincinnati and New Krishna is my favorite. I can't say if it's authentic Indian food as I have never been to India, but judging by the amount of Indian customers when we are there, I'd say it must be pretty good. The value for a good size buffet is good. They are always replenishing the food and there is a wide veriety to choose from.

Whether it's a romantic dinner, a birthday, anniversary, holiday party, guest in from out of town or an evening of family fun. The Melting Pot Restaurant is always relaxed and easy to enjoy.
My family and i come to the melting pot annually. Recently we have been coming more with just my husband and our two boys. The food is always implacable as well as all the employees including managers. Its always a bonus when our favorite server Ariel is working when we have the time to come, as we always make sure to ask if shes working when we come in. The melting pot is the best!

Here you eat in a simple and friendly atmosphere burgers and drink local Cinci beers.
That alone makes most men happy already, there are some other meal options, but that is not why you should visit.
So, if mingling with the locals and above is your thing, go there and enjoy!

Food was great, staff was great... but, the rafters, HVAC system and ceiling fans had several layers of dust. The floors and tables were fine, clean and no issue. By the looks of it, the Blue Goose has NEVER dusted since the place was built. Even though the food was good, I won't go back until I know the place has been cleaned.
