This charming restaurant has already been called a "gem" and I absolutely agree. The owner/chef of this small restaurant is a refreshingly down to earth cook who takes pride in what she serves as well as the glasses she collects. We were there on a day when temperatures outside were scorching. She welcomed us, fed us very well and charmed us with secrets of her cooking. Well worth a visit and be sure to bring a large appetite.

It goes without saying that a restaurant that has made the Michelin list so many times produces great food. However, Michelin doesn't rate venue or ambience - and this is where this restaurant shines. We sat in the courtyard out back which strikes the perfect balance between informal and intimate. The ambience is great. The food was heavenly - the Risotto was cooked perfectly. The wine list is delightful - great choice of locally available labels. For what you get - very reasonably priced. 3 courses for €32. All in, a compelling proposition and comes highly recommended for a closet intimate evening out with close friends.

This restaurant is located next to the canal which was lovely. We shared the antipasti for starters and were blown away by the presentation and how delicious it was. We both had the lasagne for main and this was fantastic too. Service was good, staff were rushed off their feet though. This is a popular restaurant and would recommend booking in advance,

Pleasant, inexpensive neighborhood restaurant. Specializing in pizza, excellent veal piccata, other dishes; able to accommodate groups, 5-6 minute walk from the train station.
Really good pasta and pizza dishes. My friend's favorite, after several visits, was the veal piccata. Their chocolate ice cream has a definite chocolate flavor. Excellent. We did not eat the fish, but it looked very good as well. More of a local crowd than tourists. It's just around the corner from the Le National Hotel, and convenient to the train station. A good Italian restaurant. They have candles and fresh tablecloths for each group of diners, and have a 2nd floor apparently for larger groups.

This restaurant was an excellent find, best meal we have had in a very long time. Slightly unusual location, but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist strip. Great service and superb menu, explained very well by the owner. Have the sangria as an aperitif, it is excellent, as good as it looks.

As the traditional Saint Louis festival around mid-August coincided this year with the 350th anniversary of the Port of Sète, the city centre was extremely busy and noisy in the evening and all the restaurants were full. So we were happy to escape to L’Auberge at Rue Sémard in a quieter part of town within walking distance of the centre.
We had dinner here twice. Both times we sat outside in the attractive and stylish al fresco area with aubergine coloured umbrellas, assorted chairs, napkins and even water bottles. The menu is limited. The first time we had sea bream in butter sauce with dill and rice. We had to wait very long for our food although there were few customers, but it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The chef works with fresh produce and likes to take his time. As pudding we had the “tiramisu au speculoos” with red fruit, a variation on the classic Italian recipe, which was yummy. After the meal, the chef and his wife, who waiting tables, joined the diners outside and we had a most pleasant conversation about travel abroad, the city of Sète and the neighbourhood of l’Auberge, were the sailors used to disembark in the old days.
We went back a second time to try a meat dish, a Simmental entrecote. This time we were prepared for the long wait and ordered a starter and enough wine. The meat didn’t have the typical rib-eye taste we were expecting but was still very good.
All in all a recommendable restaurant if you are not in a hurry.

This is a new restaurant opened last week
No prizes for guessing what this lovely setting is offering for lunch. Seafood in all its glorious freshness. Its a popular rendezvous so we wait for a while adding salivation to the heady mix of exotic sea-side essences. Inside its all contemporary with views to the sea. My choice is sea bream with a noilly plat sauce. Fragrant and light, i make a mental note to book dinner the following eve.

Must have Reservations. On a quiet residential street close to downtown is this wonderful 20 seat restaurant. The owner and chef and his wife create some wonderful dishes. Our group selected from the shorter English menu. We tasted 3 appetizers and 2 of the high end main dishes and desert. Wow what a treat. Ask for the special fish dish for only Euro 20.80...... Highly recommended MeuterMedia. P.s. i don't rate 5 star's unless it is really special!

Wow! Bravo! a family committed to good food, fresh food and organic food! menu changes every day, not a great many choices because everything is cooked fresh according to the day's shopping, but enough choices to make you salivate in advance! the wonderful hummus served first to keep you patient (freshly cooked food takes a bit of time!) the fish wonderful, the veggies imaginative and delightful, the desserts awesome! All served with smiles from the whole family, proud of their restaurant and happy to help you! a must if you are in Sète. Reservations essential! Small place! We went back the next day! Excellent value for money!
Valeur sure.
