Ate at Capri this Tuesday for the first time. Was surprised by the mid-week special of pizza or pasta £5.99. My partner had spaghetti and I had the fusilli med. both were delicious and the portions were a good size.
The staff were all lovely too

Newly opened December 2010
We love Thai food and have eaten here before and it has always been excellent.
This evening was different as the food was not up to its usual high standard.
The starter was fine, however I had the giant Prawn curry which I'm afraid to say was overcooked, hence the prawns were rubbery rather than succulent.
It's a dish I have had before and it has always been excellent.
I'm sure we will return but I may avoid the giant prawns.

Offering the best curry's Yorkshire Jinnah Selby is located inside an amazing indian atmosphere with A light-filled dining room with high ceilings and chandeliers for curries from the Kashmir region.
Visited here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by the food, service and decor.
Jinnah is in an old Salvation Army building with high ceilings that has been tastefully decorated to merge British history with modern indian. A large waterfall on the back wall creates on impressive backdrop fronted by palm trees and a vast expanse of restaurant. For a sunday night the place was quite busy and there were plenty of staff around making sure everyone was happy.
Upon arrival we were seated immediately and talked through the menus. They have an all you can eat buffet style menu that includes a starter taster platter, poppadoms, a selection of curry, rice, naan bread and dessert. Great value and plenty of food and choice.
Attentive service and staff were all happy and friendly. This was my fist visit but definitely not my last! Best indian for miles!

We’re a family owned public house and restaurant situated in the heart of Yorkshire just a few miles south of York and Selby. We have a large, beautiful beer garden available and are happy to cater for parties.
A couple of weeks ago we went here for lunch. There were 3 of us and we had steaks and lasagne. The food was absolutely delicious especially the steak and everyone was so friendly. There was a wait for our food but we had a drink and relaxed in the lovely surroundings. I never mind waiting as I know my food is being freshly prepared. It's well worth a visit here. With such a fabulous menu you're definitely spoilt for choice.

The Drovers Arms is a traditional country pub located in Skipwith near Selby. It has undergone a major refurbishment including a new kitchen and boasts a characterful public bar area with a real log fire, as well as a more formal Dining area. The Drovers Arms serves a great range of real local ales & other guest ales. The Drovers Arms also offer delicious home made food which is all locally sourced. We have a large menu of home made dishes with vegetarian options available. We believe is important to use local suppliers as much as possible. Food service times are 12.00pm to 2.30pm and 6:00pm to 9.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 6.00pm - 9.30pm Friday and Saturday. Sunday lunches available 12.00pm to 18:00(If a late Sunday lunch is required just give us a ring and we will accommodate). Good pubs are hard to find and and we are determined to offer our customers authentic ale served by friendly bar staff, coupled with great food. We can cater for all occasions from family meals to walking groups as well as weddings and special events. The Drovers Arms is the perfect place for dining. We hope to see you soon
We had a disappointing last visit and thought we would try it again.
We will not be going back.
Had a total of 4 courses. 1 x starter 2 x main and 1 x dessert.
Starter = Baked Camembert with toast. Toast cold and HARD. It was not fresh.
Mains = Fish and chips was very good. No problems.
Burger was not freshly cooked, the Monterrey Jack cheese on top was hard
and black. Salad was mainly onion flavoured. Chips OK.
Dessert = Sticky toffee pudding. It was cold and ice cream was a funny taste and
texture.
The pub was cold and very dark, so much so that I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu.
All in all, it was not a pleasant dining experience. However the pub was packed. Maybe it is just our expectations that were too high.

Cafe and ice cream parlour, cakes afternoon teas. Ice cream parlour open Sundays. Dogs are welcome. All menu available on sundays
Walked in, and was welcomed by a very noisy dachshund but he was very cute, a nice welcome from him and the friendly staff. The coffee and a large mince pie were both very flavourful and enjoyed. Total cost £3.60, good value.
I am only giving an average rating because of the doggie, although lovely he shouldn't be wandering in and out of the kitchen. It wouldn't stop me going back though.
The place was nicely decorated for Christmas.

Visited for the first time on a midweek lunchtime for a takeaway. Served fairly promptly but unclear where to queue. Prices seemed fairly high, considering other fish and chip shop places near by. The fish and chips itself seemed fresh and still hot when I got it home. Staff seemed friendly. I asked for tartare sauce which they got from the fridge, seemed to be homemade as the label on tub had a use by date, the one they gave me was a day over this date however but I was home when I realised and couldn’t be bothered to return. I wouldn’t return specifically just to have their fish and chips but a good option to have in the town. Haven’t eaten in so can’t comment on that.

We called in for a late breakfast 11am they only serve breakfast till 11.30 am. The place was totally empty so maybe extending breakfast might be a plan...?
The food was hot but not special. Vine tomatoes are fine but impossible to eat without mess and these were very sharp. Adequate portions served nicely and hot by staff who might faint if she smiled. Felt as though we had spoiled her peaceful, quiet morning. The venue has changed hands since our last visit ...not for the better! Despite living locally can't say I am really bothered or likely about returning
