If you're here for the race, or here for any other reason, get over to the Watering Hole early if you want a seat. All steaks come with a bottomless salad and a potatoe or veg. side. It fills up early and gets packed during event weeks. Seating inside or out. Huge parking lot. Our steaks were perfectly prepared Pittsburg pan seared. Everything was excellent.

I had the #2 combo with mousaka, pastitsio, and spinach pie--excellent! My husband enjoyed spaghetti with sausage and peppers. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again. The prices are fantastic for what you get.

Been there for the 12 Hours twice. A little bit of waiting queue - they uses playing card - but it was worthwhile. Wonderful steaks, cooked perfectly, plus appetizers and desserts. Good selection of beers too. Drivers (there were some there) can't fail ; -)

We stopped on a Sunday and ordered two of the specials from the special board. I had Turkey with gelatinous yellow something on it called gravy. Hard mashed potatoes and mushy something called stuffing. The Turkey itself was ok but was shredded not sliced. my husband had pork chops that he said were peppered way too much. i think friends must be writing some of the reviews. i would never stop here again.

Wide Selection of liquor at our bar, Dining room area, patio area, a long dock on lake Jackson.
Smother everything in Refried Beans, Rice and Cheese. It's the same old American idea of a Mexican restaurant. It's not bad...just pretty standard boring stuff. Just a step above Taco Bell but with beer and Tequila.

I always feel like this place is never open when I want to go, but if they are, the food is very good. It is quite often busy, be prepared to wait.

Went there for lunch to check it out. They are supposed to have good Greek food, so I got the sampler. Wife got a Reuben sandwich and after some discussion it changed into a soup & sandwich combo.
The tomato/basil bisque appeared be canned tomato soup (not a hint of basil she said). The salad basically was a plate of chopped iceberg lettuce. Her sandwich was a joke with a few strips of corned been slapped between two pieces of bread - we had to ask for the 1,000 Island dressing.
My sampler was mostly covered with a thick spaghetti-type sauce. It was difficult to tell where the Pastitsio ended and the Moussaka began. They actually burned the spinach pie and the crust was flat and lifeless.
There were lots of customers - but there were lots of servers. Ours seemed to be too busy to give any of her tables proper attention.
We probably won't go back - but there were a lot of folks there and some regulars, so we won't be missed.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and while the service wasn't great - the food was! Fish was fresh and tasty and the portions were generous. Overall a really great experience!
