In Seattle you simply can’t skip the Central Public Library – a modern architectural marvel of glass grids, unusual shapes, and a “book spiral” that climbs four stories. Stroll over to Pike Place Market to visit the original Starbucks and play catch with a fishmonger. In the heart of the city lies Chihuly Garden and Glass, which will dazzle you with its colorful and delicate works. Glide to the top of the Space Needle for panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Puget Sound.

Nice & cozy restaurant. We got a table in the back near the kitchen. Our drink order came quick and glad they had hot tea as an option as I needed to warm up! Ordered the pizza + calzone along with the caprese salad. The salad is not what I was thinking it would be but that's my fault for not reading the description properly. Wished I would have got an actual salad... pizza/calzone cooked perfectly. Used a Groupon with no problem.

We came on the Sounder trIn to the King Street station. We had been before. They are only open for limited hours on weekdays. Huge line to enter but entirely worth it. Amazing salami.

Altura restaurant applies the focus of ingredient-driven Italian cooking to the natural bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Our chefs work tirelessly each day to highlight the most exciting seasonal products. Chef Nathan Lockwood's tasting menu is at the heart of the Altura approach to dining. With a focus on wild foraged products, pristine Puget Sound seafood and locally raised heirloom meats and vegetables, our tasting menu exemplifies who we are. Expect to spend between two and three hours enjoying ten to fifteen courses of our most inspired dishes. For a less structured approach, diners are welcome to design their own experience by choosing three or more courses from our traditional menu. Our team of Sommeliers is always on hand to design a unique flight of paired wines or help you find the perfect bottle to highlight your experience. We invite you to join us on Capitol Hill to celebrate seasonal cuisine, exceptional wine and gracious service.
This was much more than just a dinner, this was an experience, an incredible experience. This culinary jewel sits comfortably at odds with it's colorful neighbors on Capital Hill.
The service was perfect, the multi-course fixed-price dinner was beautifully plated and so delicious!! I have been to many restaurants where they tell you about this subtle spice and that delicate spice added to the dish and when all is said and done the dish is rather tasteless. That, however, is not an issue at Altura.
Each course was like having a ballet performed in my mouth. Okay, I admit I was a bit artsy in my terminology, but really the flavors were wonderful. Several of the courses were one bite dishes but each was unique and well I don't know what to say other than so flavorful. It was amazing!
As is often the case the only downside was the price which proved almost overwhelming as was the meal. It pains me to admit this but it was worth it. I would love to go back again soon but it's a little cost-prohibitive for that. However I will go back again and again, just spread out over time.
This place is an absolute must try and you will be so glad you did. Dinner is served at a leisurely pace so prepare for a couple of hours in cusine Utopia.

Attenzione:
The Pink Door will be closed Jan. through March 2017 for remodeling!

Our beloved establishment will be in winter hibernation as we make some exciting changes, but rest assured the deep, lovely wrinkles will still be there. Aside from a much-deserved kitchen overhaul, the stage will be relocated, and we’ll offer a magical new seating area with a view of the water and sky. You can look forward to the same delicious seasonal food, same eclectic entertainment, and the same caring, lovely staff waiting to serve you!

Follow our construction progress on Instagram. We are teaming with Seattle-based Metis Construction, an independent community of craftspeople proudly running a worker-owned company; we’re thrilled to have its artisan touch.

See you in Spring!
We were here on a Monday night, and the place was hopping! You definitely need reservations if you want to go here. On Mondays, they have an aerial acrobat perform in the front room, off and on throughout the evening. We were lucky enough to be seated at the table right next to/underneath where she performed. Even if there is no performance on the night you go here, it is still worth it for the food! Yum! We started with the cheese plate for an appetizer, followed by pasta! Everything was terrific! Our waiter was attentive (and handsome too!) For a fine dining experience, the prices were surprisingly reasonable. There's a reason this place is so popular with the locals; it is just THAT good!

Chan Seattle is a Korean Gastropub located in the heart of Seattle's historic Pike Place Market. Our cuisine is prepared with locally grown, fresh, seasonal ingredients. Chan is a distinctive style of dining not found in other Korean restaurants. Our open kitchen provides diners with an exciting look into the preparation of Korean food and drink. Our restaurant offer small, shareable portions served as several courses allowing diners to experience the flavor of both traditional and modern Korean food. Our full bar features Asian-inspired specialty cocktails, drink specials, beer and wine.
Plan ahead as you cannot book, where the small restaurant means you will likely wait.
BUT, well worth it. Excellent Korean food and really well priced. The Short Rib, Chicken Wings (some of the best I've had!), Bulgogi and Pork Sliders were highlights for us. Good drinks too!
You'll leave more than satisfied and having not broken the bank, really impressed - we'll be back!

If you crave authentic, fresh, raw sushi, you'll love this crowded spot. It's hard to book a table unless you do so a week or more in advance. Everything is fresh, prepared with pride and served by the friendly waitstaff.

Obligatory visit to say I’ve been. Expected greatness based on reviews. Received greatness in the form of great Mac and cheese. I grabbed it to go and ate it while I wandered the Market. Watched them cut (stir??) some cheese from the big shop windows. It was interesting. I found myself wanting to know what step of the cheese making process they were at. Like a big sign or something that they could prop up to inform the onlookers.

My husband I ate here twice while on a short vacation to Seattle. It was so amazing the first morning, we had to come again! Coffee was fabulous and our server was great to chat with! Thanks for a great breakfast x 2! Will definitely be back to Seattle again and this will be definite stop.

Opened in August of 2008, Cascina Spinasse captivated local and national attention for its authentic incorporation of Piedmontese dishes, including handmade pastas and use of local and Italian ingredients. Spinasse, is open for dinner from 5:00 pm- 10:00 pm Sunday -Thursday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. We take reservations via phone or on our website.
Pros: food quality is excellent. The interior is lively. Pasta is cooked to perfection with subtle favors in the sauces.
Cons:pricey and we were disappointed with the server who just wanted to turn the table. We will go back some day but not soon. That attitude definitely diminishes what could be a very good experience. This sentiment was shared by everyone at the table and I rated the restaurant higher than the others would have.

This place is the perfect spot for a reasonable breakfast. I was very excited when I saw the loose tea menu and got the jasmine pearls which was very nice. As to the crumpets, mine was toasted and topped with eggs and cheese. It was the perfect amount of food for me and it was simple to chose something as the entire menu is just crumpets with different toppings. So depending on your mood they have sweet and savory and all of them are reasonable priced so get one, two or however many you need to fill you up.
