Probably best known for its eponymous beer, Sapporo—the capital of Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island—has maintained the youthful and open atmosphere of the 1972 Olympic Winter Games, drawing international visitors for its annual Snow Festival and its world-famous ramen. Those seeking out the full diversity of Japanese cuisine will want to visit: a city with a ramen-inspired theme park is one that embraces and pampers foodies.

Conveniently located in Stellar Place, it's the place to go to for affordable and yummilicios sushi. The welcoming and chaotic ambience did not disappoint (you'll get what I mean once you're there :D). Be prepared to wait for an hour even during off peak hours to get seat, but since the shop is in the mall, we managed to go for quick shopping and returned just in time for our turn! :)

Picante undoubtedly serves tasty food, but the portion was quite small compared to other soup curry and curry restaurants in Sapporo, and the prices were also higher. The wait was also quite long and the music was very random and not very pleasant to listen to.

U can take a Sapporo tram to Higashihonganji-Mae Station which is 5mins walk from there.
Place looks old and 5 young gentlemen arr running the ramen place, we que 5 mins sat down and they provide english menu so i order as pictures.
The ramen was just nice now overcook, soup was heaven, pork slice melted in your mouth, yes its fresh!
Then i tried the chahan, awesome! taste good it has the chinese saying "wok hei" and i wanted more so i ask for take away, we were refuse, as take away is now allow.
I guess they need you to have it fresh to stay credible on their name. So this is a thumbs up for ramen!

This restaurant is located at the very top of JR Nikko hotel with panoramic views of Sapporo city. It offers a breakfast and fusion lunch buffet with a variety of western and Japanese dishes.
The chefs use fresh seasonal ingredients based on what's available at the time of the year. Food served is of high quality. When we were there during the winter months, very fresh buri (yellowtail) sashimi was offered whereas during another visit in autumn, they had sake (salmon) sashimi.
There's also a station where a chef would serve you prime cuts of beef or pork.
There's a good choice of desserts with different types of cakes available as well as a salad bar.
It is advisable to make a booking beforehand as the restaurant is hugely popular with the locals. Recommended.

They have a nice range of curries to choose from, and you can even customise your own curry by having add-ons like vegetable, meat, and mushrooms. Those looking for something spicy, however, will be disappointed - try to go to the maximum spice level. Also, the curry soup is watery, unlike Japanese curry sauce.

The restaurant name is actually "Toriton" and it is in Minami Hiragishi, about 10 mins walk from the subway station. Follow the signs for TenjinYama Park or ask anyone in the neighborhood.
Big restaurant - best to go outside the 12 to 1 pm lunch and 5 to 8 pm dinner rush. GREAT sushi! Fresh, lots of choice, English menu. Revolving sushi. Yum!

The best ramen shop in Sapporo. I tried ramen alley in Sapporo. But to me this place is a lot better. The line outside the shop would tell you why it's the best ramen shop in Sapporo. Try the miso and shio ramen. They have tasty broth. The only downside is they're pretty cheapskate in giving the pork slice.

DIRECTIONS: it is at basement 2. So you need to walk down 2 flights of stairs, same level as the underground.
Wide range of sandwiches ranging from King crab (!!!), fruits, salmon, beef and any combination in between! Cosy with great staff that can speak enough English to let you place an order. Good place.

We went on a Tuesday night around 9pm so we only waited 10 minutes. This was also right after Golden Week so probably less busy than normal. Food was excellent and fun to make. You will get smoke in your clothes and hair so prepare accordingly! We saw some people bring plastic bags to put their jackets in. There's also a coat closet.

6 of us came around 8pm. We sat separately 2-2. Waited for about 30 minutes, it is worth it. When we came, the premium lamb already sold out. So we ate the normal one which is still really good. There's locker inside to put your stuff so it doesn't smell.
