'Went to check out the #1 trip advisor rest in SJC! I had the combination pizza which is a house favorite. R76. Highly recommend. Also the Cerveja Do Gordo is great bier! We sat on the back second level which has a great view. There's also a small bar waiting area outside

If you like night life and informal eating and drinking, don't miss the Coronel Bar. A reference point for happy hours and evening relax, and a good choice for lunch. Ask for the pièce de résistance, their famous pork rinds ("torresmo") and, also, for their "pastel" (a kind of stuffed raviolli - bigger and fried instead of boiled, to be eaten with the hands). The beer is always at its perfect temperature and their "caipirinhas" very well prepared.

I am (used to be) a big fan of this restaurant.
Food is good, I mean, the fish is good
Nothing special about the appetizers, nothing special about the salad, nothing special about the rice that comes with that fish, nothing special about anything else....
Yet, everything is extremely pricey
They charge five little pieces of fish 125 reais, that is expensive...
Unless you love the fish I recommend you to avoid this place.
I think the owners became too greedy!

Vicoletto offers signature dishes. It takes inspiration from its owner's roots (Italian), who confidently runs the show, but it doesn't conform to Italian or Brazilian cuisines only. It is a place to enjoy slowly -- if you don't have the time or the patience, you may end up disappointed. The owner has a strong vision, and if you join in (which is easy to do, given his peoples' skills and world cuisine knowledge), you will have a good time and very much enjoy the food. Special mention to the steak tartare and the risotto that accompanied many of the dishes. Wine selection very nice; I could have used more beer options.

This was my first time at Villa Lobos restaurant. I went there with some business associates. Service was top notch! Food was very good (although I have had better)! Wine was also good (they have a great selection of Argentinian wines)! How about the price?? Well, price was not so good!! So, know this is not an everyday restaurant, however if you want to celebrate a special occasion, this place could be a good option!

A few years ago a friend of mine went to Edo...
They has oysters and ended up in the hospital (my friend and his wife) due to food poisoning...
I thought that was an unfortunate event
Last night I visited the restaurant
Good atmosphere
Friendly personnel
And the food, well...
I spent the night throwing up due to food poisoning...

No Barko was one of São José's first japanese all-you-can-eats and it hit a rough patch when competition started showing up literally at every street corner. The restaurant was passed on the current owners and they've done a stellar job at turning it into, in my opinion, one of the town's best places for japanese food.
I base my opinion on never being served a single portion that wasn't great in quality and presentation. Everything is meticulously organized and served in an appetizing way despite the smaller portion size.
Perhaps it's because I'm not a late diner but service has always been spectacular.

The restaurant is noisy and the service is fairly poor. The waiters are slow and unhelpful thinking only about getting more money from your choice. The menu book does not really reflect what they are ready to serve. The prices are unlikely reasonable for the portions and quality which they offer. I am skeptic regarding visiting this place any more time; not recommended.

You can choose a table in the garden or inside. Very good food at the right price with nice service. The menu includes 2 kids options and wonderful options for the adults besides the Deserts... See menu pictures (in portuguese) as December 2016... Recommended.

I went to this place with my girlfriend to have dinner. The entrance is a charming, and already make you enter on the place atmosphere. The menu is very nice and I suggest you to take some time to read the restaurant history and proposal. Actually, read the entire menu, once there's some more interesting information. I really recommend as a couple night out or with friends to have a quiet place to chat. Food is great, with a lot of options.
