This is a classic New Mexico diner. Well maintained and managed; a blast from Route 66 past.
The salsa was nice and available for sale. They were nearly full on a Wednesday. It was both Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday. Salmon Patties are a New Mexico tradition on the first day of Lent. We also tried a routine sandwich on rye which was fine. Glad we stopped there.

Decided to have a quick stop on our way to Arizona for some dessert. Everyone had some variety of ice cream and everyone loved it. Service was okay -- nothing special.

Have been frequenting the Siver Moon for years and have never been disappointed. They’re always busy w locals and travelers. We both had their special of Santa Fe enchiladas. Blue corn tortillas stuffed w house cooked chicken, topped w a spicy, delicious green Chile sauce and not overwhelmed with cheese. Served with beans and posole. My only criticism would be that the beans were a bit dry and the hominy pretty salty, but both had a good flavor. Excellent service. Our bill, with my husband’s beer, was about $25. Definitely recommend and plan to return.

We have eaten at Joseph's several times over the past few years as we were passing through there area. In the past we were very pleased with the quality and service. The Mexican food had great New Mexico style red and green sauces. We recently ate there on Feb 28, 2018 and were extremely disappointed. We waited to get seated for over 10 minutes even though there were many open open table. Service was slow once we got seated. The enchiladas were cold, the beans were tasteless and starchy, and the red enchilada sauce was a complete disappointment. We told the checkout lady our experience and she said they were very busy that evening. That was all that was said, not even "we are sorry"! All in all we were very disappointed and will never stop there again. It is sad, that were a great place to eat, but not any more.

Dinner here recently. First time here. Free parking in lot. Not at all crowded. Small menu, few choices. Menu itself was very dirty and had food on it. Party of 3 had 3 different entrees. All were sub-par. Burgers dry and unpleasant. Greasy fries. Turkey dinner had ancient funky mashed potatoes and off-tasting dressing. Would not return.

Very good food and very good service! The restaurant is gorgeous with a very nice atmosphere and decor. They were open on new year's day for breakfast which we were very grateful for. Fluffier omelet I've ever had. The restaurant also has a nice little gift shop with Route 66 gifts and very good prices

Good basic food, don't expect cordon bleu but it does the job if you are hungry. Place was clean and the service good.

New owners. I was impressed. Not much good food in this town. Try 575-472-5253
My goodness. We found this place by accidentally while traveling to Surprise Az. We wanted to stop somewhere between Amarillo Tx and Albuquerque No because we were to tired to travel another 113 miles. So we found Santa Roma NM.
Now where to eat? Trip advisor had nothing. So I went to my next favorite Y like help with a Y.
This town of 2673 residents looks like a ghost town and the motel hotel are decent well lite and safe. I guess this town has fallen on some hard times.
The restaurant was a bank built in 1906 the interior was finished by the new owner and the bank vault door is still present and the entry to the kitchen.
The food is excellent and the cook has a home style cooking technique. The country fried chicken with mashed potatoes with green chilies sauce has to be be the best I have eaten in 65 years. There is a lot to be said when this hometown chef comes out and asks you if everything is fine.
You get a great good meal that you will love and you be glad you stopped for the rest and great meal. Be sure sample the green chilies sauce and if you are like me you will have on everything. I wish the place luck for the people there seem to be the most friendly. Price $$ not bad.
