This little ice cream shop offers wonderful homemade ice creams and sorbets. Flavors change. They have delicious waffle cones. You can buy your favorite flavor in a quart to take home. It's a bit pricey, but it's in keeping with other shops, and it's good. They also have very limited offerings of hot food, like hot dogs.

Lunch on the cape, late October, Cafe Chew still very busy on a beautiful fall day. Many eating outside in the sun. Always a little confusing when you step inside with all the hustle and bustle but they are very well organized. Helping you find your table and explaining the process as you come through the door. Portions are LARGE and the taste is great. As my title says, I had absolutely the best Split Pea with Ham soup ever. And it was only $4.25. My wife had the asparagus quiche with salad and said it was excellent. I could see it had a lot of asparagus in it. Hot Lattes were also excellent. Haven't been there for breakfast but we have to try it.

I've been here for lunch a few times with work associates, and it never fails to please! The brews available are always in-touch with the current seasonal flavors (they have pumpkin beer in the fall, for instance), and the food is always on-pointe! Seating exists in the front area, along the bar, and in a large room in the back of the establishment.
Before visiting, just check to ensure they're open; their hours are a bit strange.

The brown Jug is one of Cape Cod's best specialty wine and gourmet food stores with positive reviews from many well known travel and food magazines. In the heart of Sandwich village, in Massachusetts, the brown Jug is open year round for all of your food and wine needs. Search here for those one-of-a-kind, hard to find items!
A friend highly recommended that my husband and I eat at The Brown Jug and we finally made it there. After and early afternoon movie we decided to go have a late lunch of homemade neapolitan style pizza cooked in a beautiful outdoor pizza oven. They have many options including a create your own pizza. Pizzas are either small or large and prices run from $14 - $23. Inside you can also pick up a salad or sandwiches. We ordered a small neapolitan with half prosciutto and it was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised that the pizza was light and I didn't feel stuffed after eating. There are many choices for drinks and a full assortment of wines.
Outside on the patio, there are about 5-6 tables with chairs some set up for two and others that seat 4-6 people. We ate around 3pm so we didn't have a problem getting a seat outside but many times I've driven or walked by and and the tables were full.
I would recommend The Brown Jug to anyone who is looking for great place to eat on the Cape.

popped in here for breakfast during our self-drive tour around New England. It was well worth stopping off for, wonderful baked produce and delicious breakfast dishes. Lovely place for a stop off, friendly staff, and the breakfast we enjoyed really set us up for the rest of the day. Co uldn't eat a thing until the end of the afternoon! Delicious!

We had a couple of great evening meals here during our stay. The staff is really friendly and accommodating (low sodium etc.). Italian and seafood are specialties. Its good food, like mama used to make as they say, so you can't go wrong. Its not fancy or pretentious and tastes great and fills you up. I'd just be careful on portions as everythign here seems to be a big, big portion, so if you have the ability to take leftovers great, but if you are staying in an Inn or something go easy on your order or you'll waste.
We also had breakfast here on the way out and it was great. Topped off our weekend. Thanks Sagamore Inn!

This has hit the top of our ice cream list!!!
Delicious!!!! The rum raisin is some of the best I've ever had and makes for a beautiful time to sit with your family and look at the roses or toss the bean bags.
The only so so ice cream was the mocha mint.

We live a mile away from this little cafe and order lunch there several times a week. I love the Chunky Monkey that I have with almond milk and strawberries instead of peanut butter. I can make a lunch just from that drink. The staff is adorable and so accommodating. Very fast service. I sometimes call ahead and arrive 5 minutes later to find my order ready and waiting. I would highly recommend Cafe Riverview!

This was our second visit to Cape Cod for Thanksgiving - the last one was seven years ago. We had eaten at the Daniel Webster Inn Restaurant the night before Thanksgiving in 2010 and promised ourselves we'd go back. This time we ate there on Thanksgiving. Our table was waiting at the time of our reservation (4 p.m.), and the great food, service and ambience all came into play. The price for the Turkey dinner complete with coffee and dessert was extremely reasonable. Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY! As we left we saw many people waiting to get served - this is obviously a place the locals know well. We don't normally go out for Thanksgiving dinner, but if we had a place like the Daniel Webster Inn Restaurant closer to home, we just might.

Great little ice cream place, they make their own, many flavors to choose from like blueberry pie, almond joy, also have soft serve, and some food items. Picnic tables about so you can sit and enjoy, plenty of parking.
