With Nearly two decades of restaurant management and menu development experience, Bryce Jarvis knows what a customer expects from a resort restaurant. "I'm passionate about providing a great experience for our customer, and the Sunset Bay Cafe gives me the opportunity to share what I love best about food and Destin, Sandestin, The Beaches of South Walton, and the Emerald Coast with both visitors and locals alike." The Sunset Bay Cafe space has been a number of different restaurants over the years, but Bryce, and his co-owner Gary Jarvis, feel the location needs a locals touch to really make the most out of the views and the ingredients available to the kitchen. As captain of The Backdown 2, Captain Jarvis lends an expert's eye to local and sustainable seafood and fresh ingredients. "Our menu really focuses on the best ingredients available every season, " he says. In addition to classic breakfast favorites like pancakes and waffles, diners will be able to taste some really innovative twists on classics, like Roast Beef Benedict and a fish of the day. Located near the Linkside Conference Center, the restaurant overlooks Choctawhatchee Bay and offers a full bar, outside dining options, a Tiki bar, and "grab and go" options, perfect for the golf course, the pool, or the beach. Holy Cakes, an award winning bakery owned by Bryce's wife Miranda, provides an assortment of muffins and cupcakes daily, and social orders by request. The Sunset Bay Cafe celebrates the spirit of "Old Florida" while encouraging innovative cooking emphasizing fresh, local ingredients.

Seafood crepes and seafood quiche were full of flavor but then we split a New Orleans French toast! Great homemade bread base with a bread pudding sauce and a frozen custard. The prices are fair for the quality and exceptional service. Mama introduced herself and explained several of the options. She is delightful!

Bijoux is a full service fine dining restaurant located in The Market Shops at Sandestin. Open for dinner seven nights a week, we feature the freshest Gulf seafood, prime steaks and an extensive award winning wine list. Our intimate Bijoux lounge features a full bar complete with a large selection of specialty martinis.
The short version is that the service was really sub par.
The restaurant is clean and the decor is nice. My wife and I arrived and the restaurant to meet another couple. There was no one near the entrance, so we just walked in to find out party. The ordering of the drinks was fine, but our table ordered two appetizers and only received one. Then the water refills were quite slow. Our meals took much longer than normal to arrive and my wife received her salad at the same time that she received her entree, additionally the four entrees arrived at our table at different times. I do t think I am stretching to say that a four top should have the food arrive at the same time. AND given the fact that one appetizer never arrived, it caused more heart burn to receive our entrees separately.
During the meal my water glass remained empty for 20 minutes.
We received our bill with no apology for the lack of appetizer and yet again there was no refill on the water for 20 minutes (and I’ll mention that we ordered at least 6 adult beverages so it’s not like we were wasting seat time without spending money).
I’m just super disappointed in the execution of service given that my steak alone was $65. It should be premium service at this price point.
My entree was decent, my wife said her food was very tasty.

Where a Simple Egg is made Splendid! Vote the best on the Emerald Coast for 15 years in a row! When visiting our area... Baytowne Wharf is a must destination to enjoy... Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch at it's finest!
They have the most unusual omelets that cater to the local flavors. Our favorite dish is the shrimp & grits. A bit spicy, but we like that! Another dish to try is their City Grits. You can also substitute the regular grits in the Shrimp...MoreThank you for the great review, Deb. This is an ice cream and candy shop that is located the in the Grand Boulevard in the Sandestin Resort area. We drove our golf cart from out rented cottage here one night to walk around and look at the shops. We stopped for ice cream and candy here while we strolled around. There was a line, but the flavors are pretty standard fair and the ice cream was nothing special. The chocolates and fudge were very good but everything here is very pricey. There is a nice area to sit outside.

My wife loves French toast and was not disappointed. It was a large portion sprinkled with cinnamon and confectioners sugar with a side of fresh blueberries. I ordered the Zeus omelette which was stuffed with feta cheese, sausage, bell peppers, onions, and gyro meat. It was well seasoned and for me perhaps a little over cooked. The potato breakfast fries were good but nothing special. Our meal did not come out all together and I had to ask the waiter to check on the rest of our order.
