We loved this little tucked away gem. Food was fresh home cooked and service was excellent. The moussaka was the best I have tasted. If your looking for good food at a reasonable price this is the place for you. An average evening meal for 2 with half a carafe of red wine usually came to less than 25 euros. Keep a look out for the fat cat.

If you're hungry, have little time, and don't know where to go, try Sto Psito. It is on the town square. It's a small place but the food is delicious. I tried chicken pita with tzatziki and it was really good. The prices are very very reasonable. The only problem might be communication, for the waiter could not understand English very well. Anyway, grab your Greek fast food and keep exploring the town !

This restaurant is very hidden from the port but you glean get a very nice view from the top. Food is very good, service is great but unfortunately they don't have Greek desserts. It's a romantic and informal place.

Pythagorio is not a hot bed of fine dining experiences. This is most certainly not fine dining. It is the type of menu that you find in most Greek traditional restaurants. So you need to go in with those expectations. As far as traditional Greek food goes, the Moussaka that I had was good. I think these guys should be admired for their service. They are generally full to capacity and yet the meals come reasonably quickly after ordering and for a harbour-side restaurant who generally do not rely on repeat business, the service was quite good. I wouldn't say the food is incredibly outstanding, it is just that it is probably the best of the cafes on the waterfront.

We had an excellent meal here. The giant beans in sauce were superb, and just happen to be my favourite Greek food. The wine was delicious. This is a very busy place and often hard to find a free table. Very nice atmosphere and professional attentive service.

Compared to other place we had eaten I would say this is average. Food okay, service okay and prices reasonable. This place probably has the dilemma that they can't charge too much (as many locals eat there) and so have to reduce portion sizes. But nothing to complain about

If you are lucky enough to travel to the beautiful island of Samos you must make a trip to the Ydroussa Tavern. Fabulous food - souvlakia, salads chips, tzatziki, saganaki, the list goes on... in summer you must sit outside overlooking the countryside. The owners are very friendly.

Found this place towards the end of our holiday, no frontage from the road (just a sign and a menu) and a steepish slope, but glad we did. Warm welcome from the attentive, but overly so, staff. Cracking traditional Greek food in a stunning location right above the beach, with fantastic views across the bay. Can't say much about the food except it was well cooked, well flavoured, great value and 'proper Greek' with plenty of choice. We visited twice and spent no more than 35 euros on both occasions, including beer and wine; go for the house red. Can't fault this place. Not open at lunch time (when we visited in September) so might be different earlier in the season.
