Bansuan Swetkamol is adjoining the Chuanthanapanya Resort, about 1.5km from the centre of Sawang Daen Din,turn up by the Bangkok Bank traffic lights on the corner.
The setting is lovely.Manicured lawns, flowers, statues, water Fountain etc.
Dining is either in the airconditioned restaurant or individual teak wood pavilions/salas.
We dined in the pavilions/salas on both nights of our stay.
Menu is extensive and not pricey at all, same goes for the cost of beer.
Food was superb.....no complaints at all.....a lovely restaurant to dine and looks very romantic at nighttime when its dark and the lights come on.
Thoroughly recommended."THE" place to eat out in Sawang Daen Din,for sure.

Visited again for New Year's Eve dinner, as usual the staff make you welcome from the beginning and our front of house man was "WOODY".
He's always a pleasure to see and we always share jokes and pull each other's leg.
Patrick the owner with his wife Ponchan the chef always say hello.
You may have read many reviews about the food being good, well we think it's superb !!.
It is a little way off the beaten track but I promise you it's worth a try !!!.
Say hello from Les & Gillian (we have a house close by).
Hope you try it !!!

This is a simple, down to earth, and unpretentious venue that serves excellent and inexpensive Issan dishes. The menu is refreshingly different from the run-of- the-mill eateries in Sakon Nahon. It is my second choice when entertaining visitors..........the first being my own kitchen!!!!!

What a great choice for tasty coffee and cake!
This shop is hidden behind buildings in one of a quiet streets of the city. To get there, you need your own vehicle. But it's always worth visiting, not only a cosy but lovely English garden they have, cakes and coffee are also highly recommended.
The baker is a specialist as I've heard so the ingredients, decoration and of course the taste of all the cakes are second to none.
If you look for a nice place for coffee, tea or even juice, and yummy cakes, you shouldn't miss this place when you visit Sakon Nakhon.

Very few restaurants in this city, with street food being the choice for most locals. This is a spacious restaurant, nice and bright with air conditioning and two big TVs. The Thai menu was extensive and reasonably priced plus a good selection of ice cream cakes for dessert.
The staff were friendly and I'd return again when visiting this city. My only criticism was that the TV was very loud and it was on a boring Thai news program so not the best noise when trying to enjoy your meal.

Bakery and coffee shop in gorgeous new French-Vietnamese colonial style building with refreshing surrounding Gardens.
I have visited this coffee shop several times now. It has a lovely secluded garden to sit in.
The service is always very friendly and they serve a great cappuccino. At only 35 baht you can't go wrong.
There is also a selection of cakes available. The cakes are definitely skewed towards the Thai palate, but not bad to western tastes as well.
I would definitely recommend a visit if you ate in the area.

APPLES IS WELL KNOWN FOR ITS STEAKS... We use Thai French Beef only and Jom carefully carves each one before aging them . Days later Jom marinates the steaks with her secret marinate. It is a great experience for her and she loves the " wow's " from her dinner customers. Now available ON LINE too and ready for your BBQ or " Hot " Skillet (Vacuum packed and shipped frozen, Includes fresh peppers
This is very much a family run business that is more focused on quality food than profit because they simply couldn't make a profit at the very reasonable pricing. The restaurant is very casual, very informal and serves both Western and Thai popular dishes ranging from Pizza and Taco style through to Thai spicy things I have no idea what they are called but the wife likes them a lot!! Alcohol is available but this is not trying to be a bar, it's just good to have a beer or a wine with your meal sometimes. The owner is a retired baker but still bakes all the breads and pies fresh every day. Frozen pies and Pizzas are available to take away too for those living outside of the city as I do. We have visited only in the daytime for lunch but every time it has been great food served by very pleasant staff which is why we keep going back.
