Four star French classic restaurant located in Old Montreal.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Bonaparte. The service, cocktails, wine, appetizers and meal (Scallop delight with truffle oil and mushroom fricassee) were all quite excellent. We initially were uncertain about ordering the Lobster salad with hazelnut oil and maple syrup dressing (maple syrup in dressing?) but our waiter assured us it was not sweet -- and he was right. We ordered off the ala carte menu but there is also a tasting menu and a table d’hôte that changes daily.

I have been fortune enough to have eaten at Chasse et Peche several times over the years. I have always been blown away by my experiences, touting it as one of Montreal's finest restaurants. I send people there, telling them that not only is the food spectacular but that the service is second to none. So, when a friend invited me for my birthday, needless to say that I was ecstatic. And then so, so disappointed. Upon arrival, it took a long time to get our coats checked and ourselves seated. No idea why. The hostess seated us with a wine list, and then no one came back. After a good 10 mins, if not longer, I had to stop a waiter, who said he wasn't our waiter, just to ask for water and order cocktails. "Our" waiter eventually came back with the cocktails, set them down, and was about to walk away. I had to stop him to ask for menus. Another long stretch of time went by before a third waiter came to take our orders. I asked if there were any specials, as no one had bothered to tell us yet at that point. He described them to us, we ordered, and that was about it. Service gets 1 star. The food was fantastic, though. The scallops, risotto, lobster, etc, all excellent. However, when I go to this caliber of restaurant, it's about more than the food. It is an experience, and the service plays a big role in that. I won't be rushing to go back.

We went there on a Saturday night. Beware they only have 2 time slots: 6:00PM and 8:30PM so you have to be on time and can't stay longer if you are booked at 6:00.
The hostess and waiters are very friendly and quick. The decor is modern and airy. It will be nice in the summer since I think there is a Terrace section.
Some of us ordered from the Table d'Hote while I chose a dish from the A la Carte Menu.
The soup of the day was a minestrone. It is served in a huge bowl, very large portion for a starter. The fried calamari with the spicy aioli were very tasty.
My main course was a linguini vongole. The portion was tiny !!! And the pasta was not linguini but spaghetti and it was overcooked.
My friends had the squash ravioli and her dish was very good. Another friend had the seafood spaghetti from the Table d'Hote and his pasta was better than mine.
The best dishes were the desserts: carrot cake with cheese cake and a salty caramel coulis and the 3 chococlates cheese cake. Bothe were delicious.
The service is attentive but I wish we could have stay longer instead of being rushed out to allowed people booked at 8:30 to have our table.
I will come back but not on the weekend so we can take our time. And I will try another dish of pasta to see how well they will cook the pasta

We went to eat at night with friends for one of our friend's birthday anniversary. We were 13 in a group. It is a very friendly place with super cuisine, good selection of wine and very good service. It is the best place in St Lambert to eat and enjoy the evening.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Bouillon Bilk. The before dinner drinks were great, first course was spectacular, and the scallops were perfect. We also had the truffle linguini which was rich and hearty. We would definitely return when in Montreal. We really liked the design of the restaurant as well with the bar area in the middle of the space.

Bidon offers the perfect place to enjoy Montréal bistronomy in the heart of Saint-Lambert. Ridden by a young talented and dynamic team. The unpretentious menu offers a menu of great generosity and authenticity. Going through the classic bistros updated, the slate menu offers solid, affordable, and pretty sexy overall. In the kitchen, the chef buys mainly from regional suppliers and controls the quality of products from one end to the other. All this is ensured by a welcoming and professional service. Certainly, the Bidon is in a way an amalgam of what Montreal offers us better, but in Saint-Lambert. Rustic cuisine, but neat, reassuring and creative: bistronomy break with the classicism of the restoration of yesteryear. We come here to taste, of course, but also to peck in the neighbor's plate and share the flavors.
Staff and service were incredible, food was delicious (especially the scallop entrée), location is very nice and lots of room to accommodate for large groups and busy nights. Fantastic red wine from tuscani was recommended by our server. Overall a great experience and one of my favorite restaurants to date.

Restaurant Meridional is fine dining mediterranean restaurant. Inspired by the Costa del Sol, in Spain and the Cote d'Azur in France, our restaurant specializes in French and Spanish cuisine. The calm, relaxing, ambience is perfect for romantic couples wishing to be intimate or big groups who party till the late hours with no worries. Come and find out why this gem is favourite place for most our customers and what keeps them coming back for more.
An unexpected find on the edge of old Longueuil in a moderne simple style resto. Simply great cuisine with much delicate flavour and downright delicious. Excellent choice and value. Good wine selection. Knowledgeable and friendly staff mostly bilingual and always courteous. The North African stuff is very fine and richly layered in its tastes. Soup very finely textured just so. Desert fine but could easily be omitted. Coffee very decent. All in all a great choice - very tasty indeed!

Got to this little spot at about 3:30 so had to wait to be seated. No problem because that gave us time to admire the pastry case to get ready to choose.
Above the coffee shop is a school for pastry chefs. We chatted a bit with a young woman who was so excited that she had been accepted for the next session.
We have eaten TOO well in Montreal. At least visiting a pastry shop in the afternoon is a rare treat for us.

Wow! We had an amazing experience here. The soup of the day was perfection. Creamy and spicy; it doesn't get any better than that. We got the salmon and the pork belly. Everything was plated beautifully! The salmon was cooked to perfection; crispy skin side down, all the delicate flavors of the pear and apricot really shone through. Loved the potatoes, so thin and delicate. The pork belly dish was the star; melt in your mouth tenderness with the complimentary purees were delightful. We were only disappointed that our stomachs were not large enough for dessert.

Large and excellent choice of oysters was impressive. Our order was promptly served and oysters were fresh, of excellent quality and delicious. Main dishes were to our expectation but over priced. Service was efficient but our server was a bit confused with one of orders and final bill, not a big deal at all. There was also a great variety of wines but all of them quite over priced. Apart from oysters' prices, ratio of quality vs price has a lot to improve. If you don't mind what you pay, the rest is very good or even excellent.
