If the weather's good the view from the Terrace, overlooking the bridge and town is beautiful. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. Whilst the service was fine, the food really was pedestrian. The €17 lunch menu is the best value but the €29 and €35 menus are profitable for the establishment but poorer value. Portion size is just ok but not generous. The foie gras starter was judged 6/10 by my two local French guests (who know their foie gras) whilst my four small Scallops were well cooked and reasonably served. We all had the tournedos of leg of lamb as the main with the large plate being quite empty. One piece of lamb (the size of a lamb steak) was ok with some sauté potatoes and a couple of carrots. A very little indistinguishable sauce underneath. We all agreed 5 1/2 out of ten.
The Deserts sounded ambitious and again were competent but mediocre.
Overall, great view but I wouldn't rush back for the food.

Restaurant avec terrasse surplombant la rivière Aveyron avec une merveilleuse vue sur le Roc d'Anglars. Cuisine inventive élaborée à base de produits frais essentiellement terroir .
Visited this charming restaurant situated on the bank of the River Aveyron overlooking the bridge. We sat outside on the shaded verandah watching the canoeists trying to navigate the waters. The service we received from both waitresses was simply outstanding. The attention to detail was exemplary....MoreOut the team of the Carré des Gourmets thank you for your comment. We are very happy to have allowed you to have a good time in our beautiful establishment.

The food here is basic but good.
Service reminiscent of Fawlty Towers. Don't expect a smile. Drinks (wine passable) slammed down on the table; followed by food.
Not a glimmer of a smile from the Maitre d'. He must have been having an 'off' day for 2 days in a row. Very funny. The food was pretty good though!

A wonderfully situated restaurant on the banks of l'Aveyron. Fantastic french food cooked with flair.
We have eaten here before and understood the restaurant to be under new ownership.
For a family group I have to say overall the restaurant was average. The food menu was small and varied. The wine list was uninteresting. The chicken was very tasty. Nicely presented though portions were small.
The turbot was delicious though the portion size was small.
The fillet was average, though over cooked, asked for medium rare received medium well, again portion size was small, Euro 28, a little rich for a main course that should be perfect.
Deserts were good, though small. Overall tasty food, small portions and felt the menu was somewhat overpriced for what we received. Wanted excellent got average.
Service was good.

this restaurant gets the prize for the best setting in the village, especially in the dark with the lovely lights in the courtyard. Bang average menu , reasonable value, great if you want pizza in a romantic setting

We happened on this place when most restaurants in St Antonin were closed on New Years Day. It had very comfortable upholstered "tub" chairs at the tables, with fresh flowers and a delicious "menu du jour" for a reasonable price of 13 euros. We were delighted with our steak frites and red wine.

Situated in the village of Brousses and teetering on the edge of the Vallee d'Aveyron, you will be assured of a fabulous view! The food matches the view. There is a relatively small menu, but each dish is superbly designed and prepared, with four courses for 30€, drinks extra. Undeniably real value for money for one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Booking is advised, particularly at weekends for lunches and dinner in the holiday season.

Lovely welcome to all to this riverside café/ restaurant, simple menu, good food and good prices but most of all a wonderful atmosphere at any time of the day or night. Just a short drive from the village and you are sitting by the river under the cliffs. Book in high season as it gets busy.

Overpriced 3-course lunch with no choice of a la carte on Sunday's--22 euros without beverage. The food hardly lives up to it. Beef inedibly tough and fatty. Dessert selections not available that are presented on their very restricted menu. We had a good view of their fridge with its boxed wines. We had far better dinners at this price with a glass of wine in Bordeaux and St. Emilion.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by various locals and were not disappointed. The food was perhaps not sophisticated but very well prepared and great quality for the price. Clearly very popular and we were lucky to get a table that night.
