We had 4 years to work hard and gain a respectable reputation in Rogers City. We are now in our own building!! The same attention to detail, care and pride go out on each plate we serve. Chef owned and operated. We pride our selves on scratch made food. From our homemade stocks, soups, sauces, salad dressing, desserts, and even HOMEMADE SAUSAGES!! That's right we grind the meat, stuff the sausage, and smoke the sausage. With the new addition to our smoker we do smoked brisket, polish kielbasa and even pastrami. To many homemade items to list. Can't forget about our cheesecakes. NY Style cheesecake!! We have done everything from plain to chocolate covered bacon cheesecake. We don't like to put limits on ourselves. We think outside the box. Come see for yourself what people are talking about!!
We shared a large reuben sandwich that came with fries. Other diner's meals looked good. Seemed to be the best place in town for lunch.

Stopped in on our way back from a bike trip up to the lighthouse. The cookies, brownies, extra all looked delicious. The molasses cookie was my indulgence and a double chocolate brownie was my wife's. Both were delicious and a good pick me up. Well worth a atopt

We thoroughly enjoy going to the Painted Lady for a coffee and smoothie stop. The amount and varieties of coffee drinks and smoothies is staggering; but, this is enough to keep our family of four coming back repeatedly.
The gift shop area is also entertaining, and has a great variety of unique gifts.
The owner/proprietor is always friendly, and is always willing to engage in all sorts of small talk.
A great place for a refreshing drink.....

We were late getting into town. The Lighthouse was ther only place open other than Mikie D's. I wasn't impressed with the late night fare that was left. I had the White fish and tht was good since it wasn't fried it was broiled. The pizza they say is good but we passed on that. This would be my first choice in RC but I wouldn';t eliminate them

Had my morning meal with a friend. It was typical am food. Eggs bacon toast. It is boring but what can you do. The waitress was good with the refills and the meal was hot so all was working. I have not had a surprising or different breakfast not a long gone but I want expecting anything with pizzazz

Stopped here in a desperate attempt to escape Alpena! I was starving! I ordered 'the special', which was 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and homemade white toast. I also ordered a side of pancakes (don't judge me).
Coffee mug was always full, food was delicious! Homemade toast was fantastic! Restaurant was clean and staff was nice. No real wait and the place was packed!
We will go back.

This is a great sports bar, through and through. The décor, the memorabilia, etc....it's all about the sports...college, professional, auto racing, all of the above. The beer selection was decent. The food here is bar food through and through......mostly fried stuff, and burgers, etc. But, it was all done well, and reasonably priced. Our family of four enjoyed our stay here. The staff and owner here are simply awesome; they were very friendly, and made for a very enjoyable stay. We hope to return here next summer!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch here last week. We have been patrons here since this restaurant opened in the 1980’s under the name “The Buoy.”
The newly named place looks great with phenomenal Lake views! Great, friendly, attentive staff and a good menu for lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the basic cheeseburger. The beef was good, but on the verge of being a little greasy. My wife had the whitefish sandwich. I must admit that I am biased as I think that the best whitefish sandwich is served at The Perry Hotel in Petoskey. Having said that, this sandwich was tasty. The breading was light but lacked flavor. The breading needs to be a bit more substantial for it to be a great sandwich. The Bloody Mary was fantastic!
It is such a treat and a blessing that this mainstay location is being opened to favorable reviews. We will be back on every visit we make, and recommend that other travelers enjoy it too!
